Please note: All incoming members (both new and transfers) will not be guarenteed membership until their application has been reviewed at the monthly committee meeting. 

Members transferring from another club need a letter of release from your previous club before we can consider your application to transfer.

Maitland Pony Club (MPC) rally days are held on the second Sunday of every month. We strive to give all riders a well rounded education in riding and horse and equipment care, as well as being safe and having lots of fun. We are located at Bradley Park, Gosforth Road, Maitland NSW 2320. This is the same grounds that both the maitland polocrosse club and the hunter valley dressage association use. • Adult riding members >25yrs - not eligible for competition days but can attend rally days. 

In many zones adult members are not allowed, but at Maitland we find it is very useful for a number of reasons.

• Instructors >25yrs can teach and demonstrate from horseback.
• An experienced adult rider can give their young / inexperienced horses their first few days out in a calm safe environment without the pressure of competition.
• It gives experienced competition horses (dressage / showing /eventing / SJ...) a break from their normal training
• In the case of experienced adults, it allows the club to tap into a wealth of knowledge that would otherwise be lost. These riders help the younger members learn by example.
• Parents can have a fun day out with their kids

 

In Zone 25 associates and juniors (under 17yrs) do not compete in the same showjumping and hack classes.
