The MLM did some wheeling and dealing and just signed allstar player Jimmy Kissel formaly from the NorthSide Bombers. Jimmy is a very good player who can switch hit pitch and be a quality DH. He left northside because of some problems with team chemistry but now he can play in a good envirnment with a solid bunch of people. The MLM had to take a man off the roster for salary reasons and they decided to let cory folk go cuz hes a major duster and doesnt follow team rules. So now cory folk is elligible for anyone to sign him but I warn whoever does because he has some attitude problems.

The MLM are goin to be showcasing their top prospect during this weekends games versus the north side bombers. Sent up from the MLMs' farm system in the dominican league Cory Folk will be playing in the three game series agaisnt the MLM. The call up occured during first block in Social Studies class. Cory was sitting down in his chari showing his good character and agreeded to play this weekend. The MLM needed to bring someone up because of the injury of Paul Taber. We know he has his cast off but if he can'tmake a full sprint to first base without limping we need to give him a break for a couple of weeks. Cory will give us some size and will give us a good bat and he will give us a lot of hustle.

The mlm will having their home opener against the Duerr Devils. After their games in the morning the mlm will be facing off with the Duerr Devils in an afternoon doubleheader at 4 pm. Tickets available on ticketmaster we are expecting a sellout crowd.

Next weekend the mlm will be hosted games for all talent levels and will be adding people to their roster. We are looking to add around 5 new names to our roster maybe more.

For the time being Eamonn Vaghan has been dropped down to the minors for the lack of attended a team dinner and attended opening day without even noticing coach prior to the game.

Due to the recent call down a spot is open for the mlm. We have a few on our mind but there will be games next weekend were I will decide on the call up.

The mlm lost 3 out 4 but gave northside their first lost of the year. Game 1 Ian sweson was on the mound and got shelled and couldn't find the plate. John Folk came in and got immediately yanked cuz he's a fricken bender. Wilson came in and got out of the jam. The top of the first Joe Wilson got the mlms only run by hitting a jack in the 1st inning and the mlm didn't score untill the last few innings. NorthSide was in a commanding lead until the top of the fourth were the mlm fought back untill they got bases loaded down by 2 but Ian Swenson grounded out to lose the game 14-12. The second game the MLM were on a hitting spree scoring 9 runs in 5 innings.  NorthSIde was getting shutdown by mike bay until the bottom of the fifth inning were things just fell apart for the mariners. 9-3 9-4 9-5 9-6 and pat rowe came up and tied the game and we went to extra innings. Right off the bat in extra innings joe wilson picked up the team with a home run and take the lead 10-9. Then in the bottom of the sixth two down two guys on pat rowe hits a walk off homerun to win the game. The mlm bounced back in the next game though. Game three all of the bounces we were getting. Eamon Vaughan deffinatly proved himself by making unbelievable plays in the field and hitting his first homerun as a mariner. Also mike bay proved that he is the best switch hitter in the league hitting a left handed homerun. The MLM won the game by getting pat brown to fly out with bases loaded and down by one. game four was a let down as ian and the gang left during the game and the mlm only had mike and wilson and battled and mike had to leave so the game ended 14-10. A really good showing as the commish joe wilson was very impressed with eamon vaghan and turd who had an rbi and was a great third base coach. Cory folk had a very disapointing showing by not trying and not listening to the coach so he is unofficial sen tback down to the minors. The MLM congradulate Pat Rowe as we think was the mvp for the northside bombers

The MLM played two extremly defensivly sound games only letting one run up in two games. Wilson started the first game went 4 innings 1 erned 0 ks. Mike Bay went 3-10 with 3 rbi's. Ian Swenson went 3-10 with an rbi and 2 runs scored. Joe Wilson was an on base machine and went 6-10 with 3 runs scored and2 rbi's. Paul Taber still limping went 0-10 and jus was an automatic out everytime he batted. The game ended 6-1. The second game was a pitchers duel with the wind gusting in and was basicly impossible to hit it out of the infield. Ian Swenson started for the MLM and had a complete game shoutout with 5 k's (record). With a strong pitching game came and poor hitting game going 2-10 with no rbi's and no runs scored. Mike Bay just had a really off game but really acceled in the field with gold glove like plays. His non cluch hits led to the extra innings to keep on going and going. Bay only went 2-10 but had the game winning hit to score Wilson in from third. Joe Wilson had another MVP type game. Going 7-10 the Devils diddnt know how to get him out. Wilson was left on base in scoring position 5 times but scored the winning run in the bottom of the 12th. Paul Taber was a complete duster and went a solid 0-10 again but the good thing is tht he no novermind nothing he did was good. Well hes still crippled so we'll see in the future. The MLM go back to .500 and are playing the solid NorthSide Bombers next weekend.
