Come relax with thine Moon Fairies

Come relax with thine Moon Fairies

The moon fairies have come to take me

To far away realms where water sparkles

Into the moonlit night of soothing breeze

They flit and float carrying me along in

The fondest of care away from my worry

Enwrapping me with their silvery wings

Celtic lullabies softly play in the wisteria

Lightning bugs flashing their lanterns too

Sending bits of light in and out of flora

Let’s sail into the horizon beyond the edge

Of forest’s canopy of vine and coral bell

Waterfalls shimmery cascading down rock

Shall we float downstream on leafy rafts?

And set sail to glide across the small wave

Glimmering lights flicker along the way

Butterflies glide along with dragonfly near

Both have wings that glisten in the night

Contented with movements of care freeness

Come gentle soul, come little one, Melanie

Take in thine comfort into thy restlessness

Escape into our lair of relaxing dream again

"Top o' the Morning"

Top o’ the Morning

On a lovely Irish day

As laddies and lasses play

A dancing and a prancing

While weeping willows sing

Folk songs of yesteryear

Faeries and elves strum

Dew-filled webs that hum

Like harps of Celtic times

As lily-of-the-valley chimes

Tunes of the Leprechaun

Simple beauty beams along

While Robin chirps in song

A prism of colors twinkling

As raindrops fall sprinkling

Into pots full of golden coins

‘Top-o’-the-Morning!’ is heard

As a cheery greeting preferred

To all passersby in the land

As a wee one shakes a hand

‘Ane the rest of the day to you!’

the shanty of klingon lee

the shanty of klingon lee

o’er the dark ‘n brimy deep

thy searches for a booty’s keep

sailed an old wooden ship

ne’er mind thee ownership

bucko’s, hands, ‘n a Cap’n

just fer fun or fer a scaren

fired a gun or two up yonder

“Gangway” ye be a sunder!”

“blimey, mates! rum be warm”

fair she blows with lesser charm

“smartly, splice the mainbrace!”

eating grub with lesser grace

thus zee shanty of klingon lee

“Aye! me singeth with some glee”

Pegasus Rain

Pegasus Rain

sitting here listening to the rain
as it pitter patters against the pane
my window frosted though it's not cold
i see the tip of a familiar nose

body as white as an angels wing
hair as silver as the mountain spring
wings as graceful as the dove

she takes me places
where I dream of

fairies dancing on the clouds
pegsus prancing dancing around
unicorns drinking from magical waters
elves and others hiding among flowers

hide and seek is their game
hidden from sight until night reigns
and day has gone with the passing of time

pegsus and me on a moonlight ride
above the clouds where there is no rain
among the stars in heavens way

i hold her tight and listen to
the sound of her heart
on this night

so blue

she lets me sleep upon her body
as she wraps me in her wings like a mother
i wake in the morning and listen for the sound

when she comes again
she will take me to the other realm

Xanadu

                       Xanadu

yellow sunbursts shout across the land

orange trumpets growing out of cantle

trinkets tinkling along dainty coral-bells

as butterfly fairies sit atop lady’s mantle

rainbow sparklies ricochet off teardrops

soothing strums play on delicate webbies

as dewdrops plink atop grassy knolls

while zooming by are dragonflies and bees

little folks play under marbled foliage

hiding in rippled edges of autumn fern

canopies of bronze, purple, and variegation

protect all in Xanadu’s point of no return

his butterfly

his butterfly

searching through misty waters

across lush green hills of yore

up high in the mountain toppers

down to a scented valley’s floor

lies love encompassed in gold

with trinkets of emerald hues

awaiting for her capture’s hold

to set free to fly into his views

such flitters and flutters she sets

on top of his aching heart within

no more need of looking for nets

for he has caught her lovely grin

A Butterfly's Lover

A Butterfly’s Lover

He pierces right through her

With fixedly dark amorous eyes

Haunting images from a monsieur

Consuming the love she’ll disguise

Such intensity, this gaping gaze

Unto her heart and inner soul

Searching through a lover’s maze

With such fortitude as his goal

Immense emotion and dauntless

Deep is his desire to enrapture her,

To steal her love with much success

And become this butterfly’s lover

The Unicorn

The Unicorn

Such mystical beauty wanders in the land

Fierce but with a gentle goodness surround

Selfless and solitary these always understand

When life’s confusion traps us in its bound

Glimmers of hope shine from these unicorns

As they walk through the shadows of my mind

Making realities of living not so hard to scorn

Keeping their strength and protection in kind

Come walk with these one-horned creatures

Live among their immense caring lovingness

Forever they are always giving love and nurtures

Let them keep out all the hate and hopelessness

Living on Mars

Living on Mars

I think I want to live on Mars

Where the green Martians live

And frequent their alien bars

Wondering how much tip to give

Perhaps they play techno or rock

Or maybe some Celtic Irish jig

So I could dance the night on dock

All night and day on its metal rig

Food on mars would be a delicacy

Red rock soup or asteroid steak

But might break my teeth on its tea

To be toothless would be a mistake

Yep, that’s where I want to be

Way up high in the sky on Mars

Where Pluto, Venus, and Mercury

Are near ‘n sleeping with the stars!

Fairies of the Wild Rose

Fairies of the Wild Rose

In fields of the old country’s homestead

Grew many bushes of wild pink roses

Whose charms of lovely delights ahead

Where frolichy fairies reside in thoses

Flitting ‘n floating freely in rosa acicularis

Bringing delight to the weary traveler

By singing sweet operatic sounds of arias

And soothing those tired souls they prefer

Butterflies and dragonflies accompany too

Drinking the sweet nectar of these florae

Adding to the beauty of these abiding few

For you and me in this land of Ordinare

La Sirena

La Sirena

Watch how she swims to the sparkling shoreline

In search for the weary seaman or sailor of ago

Playing harp-like melodies of beauty and love

Flowing enrapturing tresses fly into the soft winds

Such curvaceous figures floating on the water

Entrapping and capturing the lost souls at sea

Feeding fresh fishes and mending the wounded

Caressing and gently massaging sore, fallen bodies

Providing amorous warmth and shelter for thy soul

La Sirenita, dainty yet strong as she protects thee

Traveling To Tranquility of Sleep

Traveling To Tranquility of Sleep

In taking my mind to the sands of time

I find the moonbeams across the land

Shining upon crystals and glassy sparkles

What beauteous scenery surrounding me!

Dancing fairies and genteel elfin alighting

On tops of dew-dropped florae of posies

Lightning bugs flying nearby, turning on

So as to see what is behind the shadows

Water running across polished pebbles

Trickling in and out of small boulders

Mists float across and cover me wholly

Dainty birds flapping gently in the air

Soft breezes caressing through mine hair

Lulling myself to peaceful rest and sleep

Scarlet

Scarlet

Scarlet met her husband Rhett
In a book of the Civil War
Rhett was prone to bet
The South would win the war

Scarlet knew the South had lost
And Rhett had learned it too
Neither knew the real cost
Was the tobacco that we chew

Scarlet said to Rhett one day
Our crop is threadbare thin
This small crop just won’t pay
Rhett said, Yes it’s gone with the wind

Scarlet said, “Our smoke house works”
Rhett said, “We’ll smoke some ham”
Scarlet said, “It’ll need some work”
Rhett said, “Frankly Scarlet I don’t give a damn”

Going Cruisin'...

going cruisin'...

going cruisin' in a wooden boat

going to find sunken treasures

maybe catch a piranha or a whale

watching land birds flying over

strange animals in these waters

wonder what squirrel fish tastes like

something huge swimming in this sea

brown, short-haired, with long body

face looks like my dog named snoop

weird water creatures for sure here!

putting down the only sheeted sail

must not attract pirates or seamen

rather keep my findings to myself

fishing lines caught in floral plants

trapped in a whirlpool and twirled

landed on a cemented territory

all in the watery deep of my backyard

Zilchamondo

Zilchamondo

I’ve gone to the land of Zilchamondo

In search of purple amethyst crystals

Instead filled an old leather bagatelle

Full of trifles and insignificant things

The only valuables in existence there

Are menial oddities and bland Zippos

Dullish, faded colors of bleakness

Nuts and bolts of uncommon objects

Waterfalls of silver tinsel flowing out

Into vast waters of zilchamandoville

Where fish of golden antiquity swim

And mechanical insects flying about

But a quiet solitude away from chaos

Can be found amongst diddlies of life

Where lovely soft breezes blow freely

And provides endless comfort for me

Once Upon a Time...

Once Upon a Time…

Once upon a time from a very long ago

Lived fair maidens with wavy red tresses

Who ran spiritedly along lush, green hills

And floral scented meadows of Timbuktu

Sweet melodious serenades many a sung

From the goldfinch to the Mistle Thrush

Feeding off delicious berries or juicy bugs

In sunlit tops of flora and grasslands there

Sparkling crystal waterfalls flowing down

Into rivers and lakes on into the endless sea

Golden colored fish swam with the rainbow

Protecting the buried treasures of yesteryear

Seasons of time fade into eternal thoughts

Grandeur happy occasions exists forever

Whence love, peace, ‘n contentment resided

In the minds of these lovely maidens of ago

In The Realms of Fantasy

In The Realms of Fantasy

In the realms of fantasy minds

Lies the wonderments of the life

In the sparkling mists of yesteryear

Where mermaids swimming in and out

Of deep blue-ish, greenish crystal oceans

Singing lullabies to weary sailors of the sea

Or where delicate fairies alight on top of flora

Flying swiftly hither ‘n yon sprinkling dustings

On top of the elfin and wee folks living in forests

In other realms of fantasy worlds of eras gone by

Lies the marvelments of princesses and knights

Rescuing lovely maidens from fierce dragons

Galloping off into shiny happily-ever-after

Or where majestic creatures of unicorns

Moving about with selflessness ‘n free

In and out of deep forest glens of ere

Roaming the earth ‘n protecting all

For lasses and lads to live there

Walk Into My Wooden Glen Fantasy

Walk Into My Wooded Glen Fantasy

Come into my wooded glen of fantasy

Where delicate friendly, dainty fairies

Flit and float lazily ‘n freely in dreams

Glistening upon ivies and green vines

Are the golden twinkles of fairy dust

Glimmers of sunlight peeking through

Tall majestic trees of oaks and maples

Softened breezes encircling in between

Come to the clear, sparkling, rippling

Warm lake waters of greens and blues

Absorbing reflections of the sun’s rays

Floating on tops of waves to and fro

Watch beautiful mermaids frolicking

In and out of grand emerald lily pads

Waiting for the fat frog princes to kiss

Serenading sweetly and lovingly to all

Come ride atop strong white unicorns

That gracefully walks in the forest glens

Stopping, and looking about the beauty

Of vivid colored delicate petals of flora

Lacy-winged fairy butterflies alighting

Pausing briefly ‘n drinking sweet nectar

Fairy princesses leading and caring for

These one-horned creatures of the land

Pirate, Pirata, Piraat, Pirat

Pirate, Pirata, Piraat, Pirat

How fierce you are

From head to toe or point

What bloody fools shall

Encroach upon your sea?

Robbing of food, clothing, or me

Sailing in high waters

Far away from land

‘Sail a-hoy, mates!

For a treasure is bound

To be sunken or found!’

Drinking of aged wine or beer

Telling tales of gypsies

Or mermaids or of the siren

Food was scarce in those

Stormy seas, scattered about

Parts of wood, sails, and tea

Grimy bodies, filthy stench

Of rotten food and dirty bodes

‘Aye, aye, Capitan of the sea!’

Dance a jig, sing a tune,

Deal a deck and play some cards

Clean the planks, clean the rooms

Rid the barnacles and the worms

Ordinary days, ordinary nights

Flashing swords, shooting guns

Keep the bored seaman busy in

Riding the tides of endless seas

Fairies

Fairies

On wings of gold

Into the silvery night

Flew cheerful fairies

Without care or plight

Far away and above

Sang lullabies too true

With harmonies of love

On into the morning dew

Dancing and prancing

Flitting and floating

Twisting and turning

On top of spurious wings

Delightful days

And enchanted nights

Frolicking without dismay

Tasting freedom with rights

Oh joyous creatures

So happy and carefree

With delicate features

Come and meet me!

Fairy's Love

Fairy’s Love

Beautiful fairy

How lovely and fair you are

To show us the gentle things

That brings delight in our dreams

Elegant fairy

How graceful and poised you are

To sing with melodies divine

That soothes our restless nights

Delicate fairy

How harmonious your wings are

As they flit and float

Along each blossomed flora

Tender fairy

How becoming and pretty you are

To sprinkle your amorous love

Through the dainty dustings upon us

Mermaid of the Deep, Blue Sea

Mermaid of the Deep, Blue Sea

Mermaid of the deep, blue sea

What songs have thou sung for the lonesome seamen

Who sail upon turbulent tides?

Seeking treasures from an underwater kingdom

Mermaid of the deep, blue sea

What melodies have you enchanted upon the weary soul?

Who drift along with the salty oceans?

Working night ‘n day ‘cross the planks of a ship

Mermaid of the deep, blue sea

What innocent seductions have thou brought to the seafarer

Who dream of eternal love and success?

Easily distracted by your unusual, beautiful form

Mermaid of the deep, blue sea

What satisfaction will you provide for the sailor?

Who fall into the endless watery deep?

Sinking to the depths of lost hopes and despair

Mermaid of the deep, blue sea

What beauty have thou left behind for the navigator

Who yearn for happiness and peace?

Striving to hold on to the amorous memory of you
