Magi's Art'

Originally I am from Cornwall in the U.K.,( still known as Land of the Goddess )  a beautiful county steeped in legend, mystery, mythology and ancient traditions.At present living in Florida.

I am a self taught artist, and I believe everyone has the magic to create and that a little something of that person goes into each piece of work.

Many of my paintings are in homes in the U.K. and the U.S.A., some being commisioned works and others from my own visions and inspiration.I have held several small exhibitions in both countries, and my work is also shown on notecards being sold to raise money for an Animal Charity and a 'Friends of the Library here in Florida.

Animal Passion

You may ask why is my website called Magis Art and Stars? ...Magis Art being the obvious and the Stars are the animal rescuers and the animals themselves.

My passion for art is closely followed by my passion for animals. I have in the past been actively involved with Catahoula Leopard Dog Rescue and have had numerous foster dogs who went on to their new homes and a new life. One of the great things about being a foster/rescuer is that you have made a difference to a life somewhere. Another  wonderful thing also is every year getting photographs, Christmas cards  and updates from the people that adopted these needy animals.  I finished with Catahoula Rescue and with a couple of friends formed another non profit Catahoula Rescue and it became an absolute  disaster as far as I was concerned. Just wish the people that took over put their money where their mouths were in the beginning. Like the old saying you live and learn, but an extra to add is  trust no one..

I owe Kim, a great lady that also helps with rescue especially for deaf dogs, and Kim I have not forgotten you and the help you gave me for Tammy .If you see this please contact me.

I  then went on to rescue an elderly abused  Great Dane called Gypsy,she was the sweetest thing, my heart dog  and I am honoured to have shared her last years, sadly she passed over on December 3rd 2008.
