Magician's Little Book of Poetry

I’d like to tell you if I may,

Of how you make me feel,

And upset if you went away,

Knowing this love is real;

I know I don’t always understand,

Or act as though I care,

I only know when I hold your hand,

I feel like I belong there;

So what I am trying to say,

Is please give me a chance,

To show there is another way,

Of our love to enhance;

I promise to listen and take heed,

To give as well as receive,

I believe in true love indeed,

To stay and never leave;

So hear my plea and know its true,

These words from my heart,

So together we can see it through,

And this will only be the start.

It isn’t what you say,

That makes me feel this  way,

Remembering what we had,

Only the good, never bad;

Why do I still care,

Wonder what you’re doing there,

Is it love or just being,

Whether apart or seeing;

Never away from my heart,

Like it was in the start,

Be it months or years,

Can’t forget the tears;

Wanting you so much,

Yearning for that touch,

Always holding tight,

Especially in the night;

Knowing how you feel,

Wishing it was all so real,

Still need you in my life,

Helping me with strife;

Even now I would come to you,

To prove that my love is true,

Kid myself that I moved on,

Just because you had gone;

But truth is you never did,

Ran away but never hid,

To spend my life with you,

Is still all I really want to do;

All the feelings remain,

Think I must be insane,

I love you as I did then,

Matters not where or when;

Feel me there always by your side,

Pure love and care can’t be denied,

Let your heart and soul sing,

Time alone changes nothing.

If a teardrop should fall from your eye,
Let me be the one to wipe it dry,

Someone here cares for you,

This isn't fake, but only true,

Beauty is within your face,

Kind thoughts of you cannot erase,

Loving you as a friend,

Always to the bitter end,

You are unique and so pure,

I feel this way of that I'm sure,

So as you go along your way,

Here is my guide beside you to stay,

Thank you for making my dream,

Not as difficult as it may seem,

Pick you up when you are down,

Smile at you when others frown,

Sent with love from me to you,

Darling one oh so true,

With all my heart, I love you.
