Poems from the Heart

The Love We Share

I want to see you standing,
In the moonlight, late one night,
I want to take you in my arms,
And say, my love for you is right.

I want to kiss your lips so much,
And touch your silky skin,
I want to wrap you in my arms,
And hold your love within.

You are the very breath I take,
Each day that I might live,
You are the love that dwells in me,
And I want so much to give.

I want to give you everything,
My heart, my love, my soul,
I want to make sweet love to you,
To make you feel whole.

The presence of you is everywhere,
As if you are by me here,
I long to lie beside you now,
But can only shed a tear.

This love we share is a lasting love,
I know this in my heart,
Someday, my love, you will be mine,
And never have to part.

Until that time I will think of you,
In the moonlight shining bright,
Then in my mind hold you in my arms,
Until the morning light.

I Walk With You

In the darkness of the night,
I found you there in the light,
Quiet and still, making no sound,
I felt your presence all around;

I took hold of your hand,
All we did was just stand,
Surrounded by a heavenly glow,
Burning love that touched me so;

Hearts beating in total harmony,
I give myself, and you to me,
A tiny drop from a moist eye,
I thought I heard you sigh;

Visions of much happier days,
Total joy in so many ways,
Surrounding world of beauty inside,
Desire fulfilled, never to be denied;

Disappearing moments, sweet symphony,
Our souls at last set free,
Dreamworld from so far away,
Taking me to where you lay;

Looking up into the stars like a curtain,
Is it night or day I can’t be certain,
Is this a dream or is it real,
I only know it is what I feel;

I give you my dream, my hand,
Walking now through this fantasy land,
Heartbeats tell me I’m alive,
Waiting for the dawn to arrive;

Like a never ending dream,
Blinded by our loves gleam,
To love you always, never hate,
I walk with you to heaven’s gate.

Right Here

Although we may be miles apart,
You’re always close here in my heart,
To you it may seem so far,
But only a heartbeat to where you are;

Love can travel without rest,
Being apart puts it to the test,
I long to be there by your side,
The joy you bring I cannot hide;

Just close my eyes and you are here,
Feeling the warmth, removing all fear,
Be it land or sea or air,
Our love can get us there;

Longing for that first kiss,
No greater feeling like this,
My heart takes flight,
Makes everything right;

Just knowing that you care,
And are always there,
So pack up your emotions,
Forget all past hurt notions;

Come to me in your dreams,
Not as far then as it seems,
When at last we are together,
Through sun and stormy weather;

Then can we begin to live,
Future life, all to give,
So feel these words so true,
Near or far, I still love you.

I Dreamt

I dreamt I held you in my arms,
Your body so warm and tender,
I felt overwhelmed by desire,
And affection for you in that moment.

I dreamt I slept with you last night,
Our bodies as one for that short time,
Perfect union and loving bliss,
Together until the light of dawn.

I dreamt I was there for you,
When you were feeling low and tired,
Just to care for you a while,
And touch you with my healing hands.

I dreamt I spent my life with you,
We were so happy and content,
Jolly family days filled with fun,
We were the perfect couple you and I.

I dreamt I held a new born babe,
My heart so filled with such love,
A child with a promising future,
And two devoted parents at it’s side.

I dreamt I grew old with you,
The years past and we grew more fonder,
No matter what the world threw at us,
It just made us even stronger.

I dreamt I had all that life could give,
No worries or anxieties to cope with,
A good job, good health and money,
And most of all I had you too.

I dreamt I could solve any problem,
Just with a smile and words of wisdom,
No arguing or falling out over trivialities,
Everything just as it should be.

I dreamt I died and went to heaven,
An old but happy man indeed was I,
And thankful for the life I’d led,
And the time I’d shared with you.

I dreamt I woke up and realised,
That this wasn’t a dream at all you see,
That it was reality and I was a lucky man,
To be blessed with someone like you.

I love you and I’m awake.
