Ever stopped to think
What loving your best friend would be like,
That the one who seems closest,
But yet is farthest away.
Ever wondered what that pain is,
Deep in the pit of your tummy,
That only comes when they're around;
They feel it too.
Ever felt this way before,
Maybe once or twice in your life,
Knowing something’s right,
Heart tugging moments.
Ever wanted some relief,
Desperately wanted to be loved,
Respected and cared for,
Like a brother, mother or friend.
Ever pinched yourself,
To make sure your not dreaming,
Someone does think that much of you,
Aches to hold you close.
Ever lived your life,
Wondering about what if's and why's,
The truth is often in our face,
We just cant see it for looking.
Ever wished the pain would end,
It can be so for you if you wish hard,
With all my heart and soul I do too,
