MAESMAWR FARM CAMPING & CARAVAN SITE

Nestling at the junction of the Severn and Carno Valleys, Maesmawr Farm Caravan & Camping Site is a small, friendly, family run site for tents and tourers.

We are situated in a most lovely part of Mid Wales with 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Our camping field is easily accessed and well protected by high hedges.

Within easy, flat, walking distance is the village of Caersws, which boasts three public houses offering a range of food and drink, a café and local produce shop, a post office, two convenience stores, a traditional butchers, fish & chip restaurant, petrol station and railway station ideal for exploring the delights of the Cambrian line to Aberystwyth, Machynlleth or Aberdyfi.

To the rear of our farm is a nine-hole golf course with flood-lit driving range, club house and shop. Tuition is also offered and all levels of experience are catered for. 

The river Severn is also close by with fishing permits available from the local village post-office and shop.

A pony trekking centre is about a five minute drive away, a paintballing centre is approximately 10 miles away, Sweet Lamb Rallying is about 20 minutes drive away and the internationally renowned Mid Wales Clay Pigeon Shooting Centre is about four miles away.  We are also ideally situated for competitors in the Caersws Cup Downhill Race with the track only being about 2 miles away.

There is also the stunning National Trust Powis Castle to visit.

The coast is easily accessible with a forty-five minute drive getting you to Aberystwyth, Aberdyfi or Tywyn whilst the country markets of Llanidloes, Newtown, Welshpool and Montgomery are only a short drive away.

Llanidloes and Newtown both boast a range of museums, art galleries and exhibitions sure to keep you entertained.

Newtown is also the home to Theatre Hafren where you can view productions of dance, music, pantomine or stand-up comedians.

The area is ideal for walking and cycling and the camp site is actually on a cycle route.  

Our camping site is a level five acre field with ample space for caravan and motorhomes pitches and plenty of room for tents.

We have the usual facilities of serviced electric hook-up pitches (at additional cost), water supply and disposal points, chemical toilet disposal point and litter bins. There are also toilets and free hot showers on site.

Dogs are very welcome so long as they are kept on a lead. Awnings are permitted providing they have a breathable groundsheet.

If you don't fancy the hassle of putting up your own tent or prefer something a bit more comfortable, we are able to offer a ready erected tent on site that sleeps 6. The tent comes with comfortable beds and mattresses, seating and table, cooking station and includes electric. Prices are £200 per week off-peak and £225 per week peak season.
