2006 Mercedes A150 Service Indicator/Light Reset that works.

2006 Mercedes A150 Service Indicator/Light Reset that works.

 I tried all the FSS and Assyst resets to no avail, but this one (ref 2006) worked perfectly and considering the dealer was looking for €350 for a Service C.

The oil and filter to do this cost €50, so a net saving of €300.

Make sure the doors are shut;

Key to position 2;

Press/release the Reset button to show the next service due light, release button;

Turn the key to off;

Press and hold the same Reset button to view the service light, within 2 seconds turn the key to position 2;

Wait up to 10 seconds and the light will reset to show new service.

Also, here is how you can access the service data:

2003-2005

- Switch ignition on (position one);

- Outside temperature display;

- Press button up or down on the steering wheel until the FSS PLUS indicator appears in the display;

- Press the trip odometer reset knob for about five seconds (Service Menu appears in the display);

- Select the items menu with the + or – button;

- Press the menu systems button;

- The service indicator now displays items;

- Press the menu systems button until the outside temperature display appears.

2006

- Switch ignition on (position one);

- MPH display;

- Press the trip odometer reset knob three times consecutively (Voltage display appears);

- Select the Service menu with the + or – button;

- Service indicator displays items;

- Press the menu systems button until the MPH display appears.

2007

- Switch ignition on (position one);

- Outside temperature display;

- Press the trip odometer reset knob three times consecutively (Voltage display appears);

- Select the Service menu with the + or – button;

- Service indicator displays items;

- Press the menu systems button until the outside temperature display appears.

Navigate the menus and be careful which service you confirm as you can confirm individual actions as well. Have the Service Booklet handy to check the number for the work you've done. It's about all the bloody book is good for! For the 2006 A Class the only way to reset the service data was through the menus, no key sequence worked.
