This year's topic: Chogegim Atsmaut - Celebrations of freedom

 

Everybody is welcome:

- who is already fan of Israeli folk dance and who is not YET!

- who has already participated on Machol Hungaria and who has never tried our dance camp

Courses

Beginner's class:

All those who have never danced before or who are on the beginner level and want to learn lots of basic dances

 

Intermediate - Advanced:

All the others who have already some experience in Israeli folk dancing and want to learn a lot of more complicated dances

 

From the programme: 

•    Dance sessions all day
•    Repertoire of old and new Israeli folk dances
•    Stage performance choreography
•    Special workshops
•    Special evening programs and late night dancing
•    Special late night buffet at break time
•    Celebration of Kabalat Shabat, where you can experience the special atmosphere with all the 200 -250 participants, singing and dancing together
•    Havdala at Saturday night followed by dance marathon until the next  morning
•    Whole night dance marathon from Saturday till Sunday morning

Place: Szarvas is located approximately 150 km, South-East of Budapest

At Lauder/JOINT International Youth Camp,

The camp offers comfortable and enjoyable facilities, and is equipped with the following:

   - rooms with 4-6 beds, with bathroom (single rooms are also available in limited numbers - in a hotel near the camp, for extra charges)

   - the rooms are quiet enough to have a rest

   - extensive sports hall, called "Cupola": including stands for audience,  can be used for gym, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball and for DANCING

   - air condition in the dinning hall, in all the dancing halls and activity rooms

   - swimming pool (depends on the weather - open-air)

   - soccer and tennis court, basketball field, ping-pong (all the equipment available for free)

   - multipurpose activity center

   - Synagogues with activity rooms

   - free internet access

 

Food:   Full board, all the meals will be Kosher in the camp

Travel to Szarvas:

From Budapest there will be coaches that will take you to Szarvas.

You have to be in the center of Budapest at 12 o’clock at the latest, or at the Budapest, Ferihegy Airport Terminal 1 or 2 at 1 o’clock at the latest on the 2nd of May.

Or you can take public transport to Szarvas. For further information write an email to us.

 

Children

Under the age of 16 can not apply.

COSTS

    From Eastern European  countries : $180 (6-8 beds per room) 

                                 For Other countries: $400 (4 beds per room)

For groups from Western Europe we have a special discount: if there is a group of ten people (at least), the fee is 350$ per person. If you come as a group you have to have a group leader. The group leader has to contact us.

Special deals:

                                   Single or Double bed: $650

Cost includes accommodation, food, a CD for the dances taught and a free T-Shirt. (There will be a $50 surcharge for applications received after 1 April 2006).
