My family
Welcome to my home page .My name is Andrew and this site is dedicated to my family, hobbies and interests.
I am married to Cath and we have two boys called Sam and Ben.We also have two cats called Syd and Alfie and a corn snake called kellogg. I was born in Liverpool and we moved to Skelmersdale in 1972. I grew up there and moved to Ormskirk in 2003.
I have meny interests but my main one is ham radio. I am also interested in music and cars.
Radio
I have been into radio since I was a child.My dad had a few Russian sw radios that I use to sit for hours listening to.I got my own radio and it was a multi band,am,fm,sw,cb,air.One of my brothers had a AM CB radio and I would sit in his car listening to it, this is what got me hooked into radio.
I got my first FM CB radio when I was in high school and have had meny since. I got out of CB about 10yrs ago but 2 yrs ago I desided to power them up again and see what it was like now. I was shocked to hear nothing but after CB became licence free it started to get busy again. A friend of mine (M3YTD) told me about the foundation licence and I desided to go for it . My father-in-law is G0GBP and I use to listen to him on the air. august 07 I started to go to the Southport and district amateur radio club and signed up for the foundation course . In November 07 I did the course and past. Also on the course where Dave MW3VSG, Rich M3YRT and Barry M3UYU.
I have a cheap 2M handheld for mobile use and a Icom 706 mk1 for home use. At home I use a Watson X-30 colinear and I have a full size G5RV and A MFJ-971 for HF , I have a icom ic-2800h powered by a powermite nf in the shack and a yeasu ft-7800e and watson 2m/70cm high gain for mobile use. . I have a yeasu ft-817nd for mobile HF work. the loft is now finished so i have my shack set up.
It has been sometime since i updated this site,sorry. only just got a new pc since my old one died at christmas.
Some news. on 14 feb 2009 i passed my intermediate licence and my new callsign is 2E0ZMO.in the next few days i should be back on CQ100 and ECHOLINK.
Cars
My first car was a Mini Clubman 1275GT blue with a white roof. I had this car for about 18 months and then I bought a MG Metro.the I bought a Vauxhall Astra Belmont CDI I traded it in for my first new car which was a Vauxhall Astra Sport.Had the Astra for a few years and traded it in for my second brand new car a Honda HRV.We only had the HRV for two years and traded it in for a brand new MG ZS 120+ . I also have had a Honda Civic vti 4 door which was a great car but the insurance was to high so i sold it and bought a 1973 MGB GT 1.8 which was white with a sebring boby kit.i had to sell it because of the new seat belt laws which ment my son couldnt sit in the back any more.I have just traded the ZS in for my new Honda Civic EX.how much have cars changed in the last 7yrs,for too much spec to list .

Music
I am into most types of music.I like clasical to rap and most of in between exept metal.
Jean Michel Jarre is my favourite I have all of his cd's, video's and dvd's. I have been to see him live at the London docklands, Main road and MEN arena in Manchester.also at men in 23 may 09.
My other favourite's are The Art of Noise, Goldfrapp KLF and most electronic based music.
I have had ago at making my own music and you should be able to hear one of my own tracks called PAUSE IT and I go buy the name AMBIENT NOISE
