The music we play covers a variety of genres from musical theatre to opera and classical.
We tend to share our concerts with the Mike Hall Adult Choir, local soloists or members of the Michael Hall Theatre School. The venues have ranged from the Visual Noise Arts Centre itself, to churches in Blackpool and Lytham.
We perform for the annual shows put on by the the Michael Hall Theatre School, which have included Bugsie Malone, Calamity Jane and Mack & Mabel.
NEXT CONCERT: See Forthcoming Concerts page.
We have a wide-ranging standard from music teachers to adult starters and those returning to playing after a break.
A standard of about grade 4 level would be sufficient to cope with most of the music, but it's only a guide. It is much better to come along and try to see if you enjoy the music. It's a great way to improve your playing standard. The variety of music means that there is usually something that you love playing.
We are especially keen to recruit 1st violins, oboe, clarinet, trombone, french horn, but players of all instruments will be welcomed.
