LYNVALE LODGE SHETLAND PONY STUD
Lynvale Lodge was established in 1989, situated at Woodend, Victoria.
The stud consists of 35 ponies with the majority being over 9.2 hands. The stud foundations are built around Pentland and Green Valley bloodlines producing quality, true to type ponies with plenty of bone and feather, excellent temperaments and huge movement.
Lynvale Lodge is renowned for producing top quality show stallions. Our foundation sire Pentland Macduff has played a major role in creating this reputation. Purchased from the annual Pentland weanling auction in 1989 he was shown for many successful years and his major wins include Grand Champion Stallion/Colt - Royal Melbourne Show 1997, Champion Stallion - All Shetland Show 1993 & 1995, Supreme Led Shetland - All Shetland Show 1993. He has also sired the outstanding colts Lynvale Lodge Mactavish - Junior Champion Colt 1998, Grand Champion Stallion 2002 - Royal Melbourne Show. Lynvale Lodge Milton - Junior Champion Colt 2005 - Royal Melbourne Show, Supreme Led Exhibit - All Shetland Show 2008.
The foundation of any successful stud are their broodmares and we pride ourself on the fact that the broodmares of Lynvale Lodge are all proven show ponies at the highest level or have produced foals that have been quality performers. The matriarch of Lynvale Lodge is Delvin Park Michelle, now 27 she has been retired from breeding but has earnt her retirement after producing Royal Show winners Mactavish, Milton, Macrogan and Moonglow and also Millbrae Model.
