Born in Northern, New Jersey... Lou could be heard singing along to any and all the lps he could get his hands on....... from Jazz, to Doo-Wop , to Classic Rock, at full volume , Lou could become any artist he chose. After starting guitar lessons at 6, he started writing original material at 16, trying to emulate the greats he listened to. Throughout the Seventies, Lou honed his craft and his writing.
It didn't take long for Lou to be recognized in the New York Tri -State Area. His forming of a powerful, touring, rock/ blues unit called "The Full Circle Band" in the Eighties saw another side of Lou come to life in the way of showmanship and voice. He could sing the blues in the same manner as the famed "Stevie Ray Vaghn". And, the band put on a show that "rocked" the house all night long with inventive sets and great song transitions.
In the 90's, Lou took a turn in a different direction, and subtley changed his writing, going for some deep groove (Sting) sounds while his lyrics capture life's struggles.
This all brings you to where we are today.
Lou has played and sung his songs in New Jersey, Connecticut, Greenwich Village, NYC and up and down the East Coast . While writing and recording what was to be his debut Cd in 2001, Lou volunteered to work on the cleanup of GROUND ZERO, and while there, seriously injured his spine . He was disabled for almost 4 years, had a series of operations and has a titanium plate attached to his Cervical Spine. This delayed, and has probably eliminated the chance for the debut CD that this site originally represented, of ever being completed and released......... though one can always hope.
He now lives on the Southwest Florida's Gulf Coast, with his significant other, Elaine. He continues to sing, write, paint and work on his music. There is a wide range of styles and sounds in Lou's music. Inspired by greats like Sting, Van Morrison, and genre's of Blues, Jazz and Swing, there is no doubt about the passion in his songs. Lou covers slow ballads to upbeat dance numbers while keeping one foot in the classic sounds of these artists.
