Hello how are you?
My name is Luz Alicia Gonzalez and I am glad you are visiting my kitchen.
There are so many things that I want to talk to you about. As you can figure it out, my native language is Spanish and my English is still not very good. I must admit that taking this challenge of building this web page and translating my cooking e-books into your wonderful language is a daring adventure, but I hope to have your indulgence and will forgive my mistakes.
I am Mexican and very influenced by my origin in all the things I do, especially my cooking. Even though these recipe e-books are not strictly about Mexican cooking, you will find a lot of the kind of food that has been our normal everyday meals in my family from generation to generation.
During my 34 years marriage, we have raised a family of two boys and two girls and very recently I became a Grandmother. God has been good to us.
One of the things that we enjoy very much is eating together and we do it as often as the individual circumstances allow it. We have realized of the importance of this family gatherings. As we share a delicious meal, there is the chance of learning the happenings of everyone in the family and friends.
All this family eating and gathering is not unique. We do not hold the patent, more likely it seems a very human activity of every family around the world. Therefore I must assume that it must be the same with your family. This particular situation brought to our minds the idea of putting together all my experience in cooking and someone suggested compiling them in some electronic books.
Some of this recipes were given to me by my grandmother, some by my mother and some more by my friends who know about my fondness for cooking.
My husband and I decided to compile some of my recipes in e-books and out of our experience had the idea of creating some of them for those who can not boil an egg but are willing to learn. We called this first books OUR EVERYDAY MEALS. We intend to help those beginners with some exiting recipes and tips. At the same time there is a great section in each of these books, we call it “Menus for everyday by options” which will take away from your life that stressing question ( I hope); What will I cook for them today ? .
The next e-book is dedicated to PARTIES AND REUNIONS like Thanks Giving Day, Christmas, New Year Eve, Birthdays, Weddings, etc. These are some great traditional recipes.
Another book is COMMERCIAL RECIPES, some are the well kept secret recipes that we used in our Coffee Shop for some years. These are great if you are intending to start your own business. I must tell you that out of that Coffee Shop we had the most maturing experience for our sons and daughters. It not only provided cash in our pockets but the lessons of earning a decent “peso” after a hard working day. We learned that relating "face to face" with customers, was an everyday life enhancing lecture for our kids. I thank God for those good old days.
The recipe that you can copy right out of this page has been taken from the first e-book No. 001 OUR EVERYDAY MEALS. Please enjoy it as much as we have, so many times. It is just a small token from our appreciation for your visit.
