Spanning the globe to image our nearest neighbour in space
Target:  The Moon.

This website will document the High Magnification Lunar Stereo Imaging Project - set up by amateur astronomers on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean to experiment in the field of interplanetary wide-baseline stereo imaging.

Our project will attempt internet co-ordinated high resolution stereo imaging of lunar landscape features at high magnification.
  • The first aim is to demonstrate whether this is possible.
  • The second to see if any additional information on lunar features may be extracted as a result.
A Yahoo group for project discussion and management is open to project participants here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/luna3d/

In due course the results of this project will be presented here and hopefully journal published.

Meanwhile this website - and the project - is a work in progress!
