Lucky's Wonder Of Chinchillas

This website has very basic infomation about chinchillas. Always consult an exotics' vet, read newer books, and keep up on the latest information. Do not use homeopathic remedies on chinchillas. They can also be dangerous. Always, always ask an exotics' vet for advice.  I didn't name any specific brands because people from different areas will read this website and may not be able to obtain all products. I can tell you that I use Oxbow Chinchilla Deluxe for the pelleted food. Mazuri is also an excellent food. Stay away from seed mixtures. Use pellets only. I also use Oxbow Timothy Hay. Timothy is the type of hay that adult chins should use. I also use Carefresh bedding. You can find them all through a Google search. For caging, which should be no smaller than 4'by 4' by 4' for one to three chins. I use the Chinchilla Mansion from the Quality Cage Company. There are many other suggestions on our Board for that and chinchilla wheels.
