We bought our first miniature horses in 2003 and have been hooked since. Here, quality comes before quantity. Our goal is to raise 4-5 quality foals with correct conformation and good dispositions who can go into the show ring or just be a pal, and offer them at family friendly prices. By keeping the number of foals we have down, we are able to give each horse the individual attention it needs. Our foals are handled from the moment they're born to the day they leave for their new home.
At Lucky C Acres, we specialize in appaloosa, pinto and pintaloosa coat patterns. However, quality is stressed before color, the color and patterns are just the icing on the cake! Our AMHR stallion is new to the farm and we just had his first foal for us in 2007, a gorgeous black snowcap colt! We couldn't have been happier with this resulting foal and are anxiously awaiting the 2008 foal crop and those to come. We have a new junior stallion prospect, a striking black snowcap/fewspot, who we can't wait to see mature, and if things go as planned we'll cross him on a few of our mares and/or retained Sky daughters.
Currently, we are not publicly standing a stallion at stud. Right now we do not feel as though we have the facilities/capabilities of breeding outside mares at this time. However, we may be able to make the exception for one or two mares.
