Unfortunately, due to not being able to have more that 7 links on the navbar, I've had to replace most of them with a Site Navigation page. This should make it easier to get around the entirety of the site, as I've added two new pages, which I had to set up a new account for.

Ok, here it goes: We are Lucky 13, a (almost) 4-piece band from the North East of England.

We are:

• Rigz - he plays rhythm guitar, he's been playin for about 1 month, n he's gettin good. His axe of choice is a BCRich Warlock, which is fuckin sweet by the way (I tried to say I'd be there). I'll be puttin a pic of him on soon enough. He's made a website bout Lucky 13, and his other band HateThrone, this is at www.freewebs.com/skeghedz . Rigz likes his black metal, deth metal and most metal in general (Comment from Rigz: Nu-Metal sux Dik). He is also one of our lyrcists, and comes oput with beautiful lines such as: 'I like to kill; I like to maim; Its fucking great; Bein Insane; No room for tears; No room for Pain; Come and play; the sadist game' - Thats my own personal fave. 

Rigzs isnt that scary, he jus tries to be. Fail.

• Rich - That's me. I play the bass for us. My weapon of choice (check out my new weapon, ma weapon of choice) is a shitty encore 4-string bass, which cots me £190 from Ron's Music is Darlo (Shameless Plug) i got a nice 20W amp, gigbag, strap etc wiv it. Unfortunately its even smaller than Rigz's BCRich, and the Guitar Snobs really rip the piss. Wot was proper gutting is that i saw a beaut tanglewood for £200 at Williams (another Shameless Plug). I'll listen 2 just bout anything, but pop, cos lets face it; it's shit. Nirvana and Rage are fucking amazing, and that hoo I take the influence for my bass from.

• Az: Az is a gud mate of ours who i have just got to know well. He plays the acoustic when he can, but also plays eleccy for us. he's our lead guitarist, and is pretty damn gud at it too. He also sings too (rigz roars). Useless info about Az: He was offered to be a male stripper, but turned it down cos he wasn't old enuff.

Thats Az, unfortunately, the wind changed direction when he did this face, and now he's stuck with it forever. Shame.

• Our unknown Drummer., we dont have 1 yet, that's why we're almost a 4-piece. If u can play drums n live in the NE, preferably near Richmond, send me an E-mail @ SobrietySucks93@aol.com.  You can still e-mail me anyway.
• Dan: Dan is the major decision-maker in Lucky 13. He's our major decision-maker cos he makes lots of em. Like deciding to be a guitarist, then deciding to be a DJ, then deciding to be a guitarist again. Also, if u want any1 to help you to decide to commit armed robbery, as they say in Sweden: 'Dan's Yer Man'   :-P (Hehehehehe!!!!!??) (Dan's pic is up there, cos him n Rigz  are on the same one.)
• Becky: Becky is one of my very best mates, and also ex-girlfriend, so we're pretty close. She writes all the meaningful lyrics : 'I'm gonna draw a picture; a picture witha twist; i'll draw it with a razor on my motherfucking wrist' - basically stuff along that vein. Becky is great, and im sure every1 who knows her will also agree she has nice.... teeth.

Together, we all make up the band Lucky 13, but apart from this, we're all great mates who enjoy gettin really wrecked, and gettin the creative juices flowin'. • Ok, in my free lesson, me and Rigz hooked up with Frankii from This Is, and Sarah, who's with a member from Routine:Chaos. We had a very interesting chat, in which we decided to hire out the Garden Bar for a night. All things going to plan, we should be hiring it out on the 14th of February for a twisted Valentines Day gig. We're looking to have around 5 or 6 bands playing. So far, for definite, we have Lucky13, This Is and HateThrone. We need to speak to other bands to see if they wanna play too, lined up to play, we have Routine:Chaos (fingers crossed) Red something or other (Not Red Sector, Bartleys band) and a few others.
• Now that This Is are in the final, we need to get as many people as possible to go and support Frankii Glen, Ben, Neil and <Bob> Frankii and Steph are sorting out t-shirts for everyone. So get down to QE on the 17th, and go for it!!!
• It's Wednesday morning, and Battle of the Bands fucking Ruled!!!! All credit has to go to our drummer for the night - Gary. He's normally a guitarist/vocals, so playing drums live is new to him. It was also the first time we'd played together. We had about 1 hours practise before, in which he pretended to drum on his knees!! All things considering, he did an amazing job and really improved the sound of the band. Thanks Mate!!! As far as the competition went, it all went well. Fude opened, and I have to say, they were fantastic. Next came Red Sector, a cover band, and also the eventual winners. The guitarist's strings snapped on his guitar, and we donated Rigz's Warlock to him, at this point, Rigz didn't realise that they were going to play Guns 'n' Roses on it!! For those of you who don't know Rigz's views on Guns n Roses, its full of expletives! After Red Sector came a band, I can't remember their real name, but the bassist repeatedly called them Gareth Live. There was possibly another band after Gareth Live, but I can't remember. Then there was a break, then This Is (www.this-is.tk), Frankii's band, they're pretty damned good and ended up finishing second. Then there was Blame it on the Metalheads, can't remember them too much , I was too busy bein nervous. When we finally went on stage, everything that could go wrong did. Firstly, the bass amp stopped working, so that took a few minutes to sort. When we finally got started, we played Powerless first, that went really well and got a good reception from the crowd. Unfortunately Az managed to snap his string, so we had to lend Glen's (from This Is) SG, once again, thanks for that. After Powerless, we played Inside the Mind of a Paranoid Depressant (the lyrics for this are on Becky's site (www.freewebs.com/lill_china_doll) I really enjoyed playin that song, and the crowd, liked it too, as far as I could tell, Rigz certainly enjoyed it, especially the roaring. After Paranoid Depressant, we played So Happy, this went fine, until the end of the verse (the verse also needs a bit of polishing) when Az and Gary got slightly lost, this happened again on the second verse. However, from what Rigz sez, the crowd went mental. All in all, we ended up finishing 4th, which is pretty damned good. We got 31 points, and were only 10 away from second place, which would have meant we qualified for the final, but oh well. A great night was had by all, and Kirsty!! you really missed a gud night!!
• It's Battle Of The Bands tonight, and I'm absolutely shitting myself. Still, I know nerves are good, I'm jus gonna need a bit of Dutch courage, Oh well. Also; Kirsty, if you can read this, get your Fookin arse down to town before 5 O'clock tonight. We need you darlin', if you don't do it, then Kelli won't, and we won't have any dancin' girls!!!!
• After our session at the village hall last night, we're thinking about putting on a Christmas gig, between Crimbo and the New Year, When it's been confirmed for definite, I'll stick all the info on the upcoming gigs page. Also, we're thinking about doing Risedale Community College Stars in their Eyes, purely for the experience of a live performance. Once again, I'll put more info on closer to the time.
• We're doing a practise at Tunstall Village Hall tonight, anyone is free to come along, we just need the experience of playing in front of a live audience. Come all ye faithful!!!
• Oh, we've just discovered that Kelli can play drums. Great, couldn't you have told us earlier!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
• Manson Kicked Fucking Ass. Peaches Was Shit. I'm really tired, cos i was up til about 2 comin home from Manchester after seeing Manson. Every1 had a great time, including Manson, who got sucked off on stage (or so he'd have us think) Kirsty n Gemma made the trees mosh!! absolutely great!!!
• We are going to one of my dads mates houses sometime this week. His name's Mark and he's a profesisonal Jazz musician. He's gonna give us some pointers and some direction as to how we are sounding and what we need to do to improve.
• Ok, we've decided to drop Anymore from our playlist, cos it doesn't really work as a song. However, we have started work on a new song, penned by Becky. Its coming along just fine.
• We have a 'full' three song set ready for Battle of the Bands. All we need now is a guitar solo for Powerless. Our set goes like this: First, Az says his poem that he wrote, and immediately after that, we go straight into Anymore, which is mostly instrumental (I'll get the lyrics to it posted on soon). After Anymore, we'll probably do Powerless, then We're gonna do So Happy.
• Rigs has written a new song, it took him around 3 minutes to write the guitar and lyrics. The song's called So Happy. The best thing about this song is that Kelli and Kirsty are dressing up in miniskirts, knee-boots and tiny wee tops to chant the chorus - This should be good.
• Ok, I've just added a new page to the site, its got all our lyrics on it, currently two songs that I've written. I've got 1 more to put on, and Rigs has around four or five. Im going to be putting them on sporadically, so keep your eyes out in the future.
