Welcome to MEMORY LANE

  GREETINGS!
A Note from Lucille for June 1, 2008

My web mistress aka my daughter Joan finally got my site updated. I've had lots of allergy problems this year so I've been making lots of doctor appointments. Summer is here, and it's so hot in my corner of the world. As soon as I can get my eye allergy problems solved, I'll be writing again.

As you can see, my daughter hasn't yet got MEMORY LANE to the publisher. She assures me that it will be published before the end of summer. I'm so anxious to hold the finished book in my hands. So stay tuned. In a few weeks, I may finally be able to tell you where to get your own copy.

I hope you enjoy reading the stories published on The Gazette where you'll find essays and pictures about life from the Roaring Twenties and pre-World War II Thirties to the frantic world of the New Millennium.

Shop The General Store for unique gifts, flavored with nostalgia, all original designs. I added another picture from my Cafe Press Shop Golden Memory Railroad Company.

I hope these pictures and articles entertain you. Please tell your friends and family about my site. Stop by and visit often.

Oh, I have a new email address. It's elda @ bayou.com - be sure and remove the spaces when you email me. For the time being, this email will reach me, but I may be changing it again soon if I can get DSL out here in the country. Until then, if you want information about my book, email me.

See you in July!

Memory Lane: My Sentimental Journey

COMING SOON!!!

My collection of essays MEMORY LANE: my sentimental journey will be available for Mother's Day gifts. I hope. The cover is shown here. I hope to have copies in my hands by the first of May. Check this page for the publication date and purchasing information.

Edited by my daughter Joan Ainsworth Reeves, who is a published author of hardcover and paperback novels, the book will present life in a bygone era. Publication news for MEMORY LANE: my sentimental journey will appear here, on Joan's website and on her blog Sling Words.

The book will be a perfect gift for someone who lived during the same era or for those who are interested in life from the Roaring Twenties on. It is a perfect research book for those writing historical novels too. I'll be listing book signing dates and will also have autographed book plates available if you want one when you purchase the book.

Please come back soon for news about the book's "ready" date.
