The first book in this series, the story takes place in central Florida during 1979. Michael "Sonny"Santini and his partner Kenneth "Jay" Jamsion are undercover police detectives working some of the most dangerous areas that downtown Oakland City has to offer. Both men have been friends and professional partners for nearly six years ever since they met at the academy. Assigned to Oakland Metro PD, their captain turned them into a dynamic team that faced life and death together on almost a daily bases. Both men are very different. And while Sonny suffers to learn again, Jay finds himself in the position of teacher and guardian whose fear of pressuring the man he loved leads him to keep secrets that could destroy them both. Looking in Sonny's eyes, Jay no longer sees what he once did. The light is gone and so is the desire, but not in Jay's heart. He must learn to accept the man his partner is now and decide if Sonny is someone he can still love.

When the truth finally is revealed, both men must look deep within their souls - a place where after everything else is lost might be the only real thing that remains.

Like a roller coaster ride that curves and loops, In Your Eyes is filled with emotion, conflict, and bittersweet romance. Two men who live dangerous lives by day guard a secret that could kill them both and yet, its the only thing that ever kept them both alive. Not even their closes friends, Dee Santigo or Crocket LaSalle know what it is that seals these men together. The fact that Jay can't confide in anyone is a cruel twist. The fact that Sonny is the only person Jay ever loved and is now lost makes the situation that much harder. When a beautiful young woman enters the story and sets her eyes on Sonny, things get even worse.
