Kerbeck Fell Ponies is a small stud held at North Fell Dyke, Lamplugh. The stud is owned jointly between Christine Robinson and her parents Mary and Henderson Dodd. Kerbeck's stud was founded in 1977 and started off with the purchase of broodmare Townend Princess II. Originally based at Braystones they moved to North Fell Dyke in 1981.
Townend Huey and Kerbeck Fire Phantom are now the resident stallions. They are both good natured at true to type stallions. They stand at stud for £85 (no foal/free return) and £5 per week keep. Kerbeck Stud also contains a mixture of older ponies and youngsters at the moment. Kerbeck is a small livery which mainly holds registered fell ponies which enter various different activities with their owners. But there are a couple of exmoors and a cob also there.
The aim of Kerbeck Stud is to breed true to type, active, hardy which also have good temperaments. But also be able to breed ponies that will be a credit to the Fell Pony Society and their future owners.
