QUALIFICATIONS:

Instructor in Advanced Digital Audio Workstations, emphasizing Digidesign Pro Tools, at the Los Angeles Recording School, September 2006 - Present  Among the many subjects I have taught at LARS (formerly LARW) I currently teach the advanced use of Digidesign Pro Tools TDM, LE and M-Powered systems to students preparatory to their entrance in to the Digidesign Pro Tools Certification program.

Test Lab Software QA Technician/ Marketing Technical Advisor, M-Audio, May 2003 – Present Three years served as Software QA technician, testing of pre-release software drivers for computer-audio interfaces, MIDI interfaces and controllers, and new products; regression testing of driver updates, DAW, instrument, and plugin testing. Skills: extensive knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows and MacOS platforms, record-keeping, gear & system setup, rapid re-configuration of OS and any gear required. Served one year as Marketing department’s Technical Advisor, providing support on all product technical issues, technical spec verification and manual proofreading, technical support for artist-endorsees.

Recordist/Editor, Media Concepts, August 2001- April 2003 Studio Experience- recording of voice–overs in ADR studios for television, video and film; set up and configuration of recording/computer equipment; editing; digitizing/conversion from/to varied audio/video formats; database maintenance and documentation. Computer Skills- (MacOS); Digidesign Pro Tools; Adobe Acrobat; MS WORD; AppleWorks; multiple audio software and networking applications.

Computer/Audio Technician, Audio Rents, Inc. June 1999- September 2000 Technical/Equipment Experience- basic electronic bench testing and minor repairs on pro audio equipment; built and configured Digidesign hardware into systems for rental; provided on-site and telephone technical support; implement any hardware item into client studio configurations. Computer Experience- serviced, troubleshooting and maintenance of all in-house PC and Mac computer systems.

Chief Technician, Media City Sound, May 1998- April 1999 Technical/Equipment Experience- maintenance and troubleshooting for all in-house hardware and software, including DAWs, video machines, outboard gear and mixing consoles; documentation of all repairs; maintenance of databases and data entry. • Expert knowledge of software and hardware for PC and Macintosh computer systems, including troubleshooting, installation of hardware components, data recovery, format conversion and database management.

• Extensive experience working with numerous audio recording software applications: Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Sonar, Sound Forge, Cubase, as well as many MIDI programs, plugins, and soft synths.
