Lowdorados played on Saturday night at the KB Hotel in Surry Hills,
supported by T Malfroy & The Guests (Tim from The Holy Soul) and
Trent Marden (The Holy Soul). It was a great night. Check out some
photos here.

hello people, James here.
The last couple of months have seen big changes in the Lowdorados
camp. John Fenton is now on drugs, I mean on drums. We've been
jamming for a couple of years together, and I think his drumming is the
shit, so it seemed like a natural progression. Jim Selene is still on
geetar. We have no bass, just two 6 strings. Jim and I take turns
covering bass on guitar.
There's a real shift in dynamics now, we can take it real down low, and
psyche the fucker out when we feel like it. It feels good.
For anyone that's interested, LOWDORADOS have been goin' a coupla
years at least.

When I came back from Perth in wah wah land, I had just done a stint in
3 bands, THE GUTTERVILLE SPENDOUR SIX, who were amazing!!! I
played on the album, which has now taken on a certain myth of its own,
after it was picked up by British DJ JOHN PEEL. HENRY ROLLINS and
TEX PERKINS are both cited as fans. Pity we broke up, maybe a
reunion eh MOZZA!!!!! hahaha.
At the same time I was playing in THE DRONES, who where basically
the GUTTERVILLE SPLENDOUR SIX in drag. I learned a lot from both
those bands, in regards to song writing and playing guitar, I'm still
learning from the DRONES today, they are fuckin' awesome. So its a
small world and we are all related.
As I'm writing this I'm listening to T.MALFROY AND THE GUESTS a
great Sydney band. TIM is from THE HOLY SOUL another cracker of a
band.

Next week I'm moving to melbourne for 3 months, to finish off a bunch of recordings. We have about 30 songs down, recorded over the last
coupla years. So I hope we will have a release soon for all you good
people with awesome taste. So look out for me solo, or in duo mode
with JOHN on drums, in Melbourne and Sydney. LOWDORADOS will be
playing in Sydney with T.MALFROY AND THE GUESTS at the K.B.
HOTEL in SURRY HILLS, a great new venue with atmosphere, on the
14th of Feb. with TRENT from THE HOLY SOUL solo. We are looking at
doing shows in Melbourne with the band early March, so i will keep y'all
posted.
