Brit star Kate Beckinsale is set to wed the director of her latest film, according to reports.
A spokeswoman for the Pearl Harbour actress confirmed that she was engaged to marry Len Wiseman, the director of Underworld.
Beckinsale plays a vampire in the supernatural thriller, due for release in the US in September. Underworld sees the actress play a vampire involved in a forbidden love affair with a werewolf played by Scott Speedman.
The 29-year-old actress is the daughter if late British actor Richard Beckinsale and actress Judy Loe. She has a four-year-old daughter, Lily, with former boyfriend of seven year, actor Michael Sheen. The forthcoming wedding will be the first trip down the aisle for the British star.
She has starred in Kenneth Branagh's 1993 film Much Ado About Nothing, TV adaptation Cold Comfort Farm, The Last Days of Disco, Brokedown Palace, Laurel Canyon, Serendipity and Pearl Harbour.
She will soon be onscreen again, starring as Ava Gardner in Martin Scorsese's biopic of notorious producer Howard Hughes, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, released in 2004, as well as monster thriller Van Helsing with rising star Hugh Jackman and romantic comedy Tiptoes, with Matthew McConaughey and Gary Oldman.
US celebrity show Access Hollywood claims that Wiseman popped the question on Saturday at the Whist restaurant at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California. The director also reportedly booked the Viceroy's presidential suite and filled it with lilies, Beckinsale's favourite flowers.
