Dogmania will be held at the Lawnton Showgrounds (Brisbane's Northside) on the 2nd,3rd and 4th of May. It is an extremely fun weekend, with various doggy-related market stalls as well as a variety of competitive doggy sports, such as agility, flyball and canine frisbee. More info here.

 I will be there with Lola and a huge range of collars and dog-themed clothes for sale.

Announcing the arrival of Edward Charlie!

It has been a busy time for us, with our second son arriving on the 12th of February, weighing in at 3.9kgs and 54cms long. As a result, the stall at Nundah Markets has been put on hold for a few months, but I'll be returning once things are a little less hectic around here.

 New collar designs:

The next event we'll be attending is Dogmania (May 2-4), which will be held at the Lawnton Showgrounds.During Dogmania, we will be showcasing a brand new range of collar designs in a variety of sizes. Christmas Collars are here, plus brand new 38mm wide collars for big heads and long necks available.

I have had a very busy past month or so - lots of news to share!

Christmas collars:

First of all, Christmas collars are now available. They are made from tiny gold star covered red or green cotton fabric. They can be made in any width or length - just drop me an email with your order and dogs neck measurements. Wider collars:

I have just purchased some 38mm wide webbing, which is perfect for larger breeds and sighthounds with longer necks. The wider collars are available in both flat and martingale collars. Collar strength has also been improved with new D rings. These rings are heavy duty and welded closed, and are used as fittings on boats - so they are very strong. I still do have the lighter weight D rings, so if you have a small dog, or will be using the collar as a fashion accessory only - please let me know when you order.

For the locals:

I am pleased to announce that I will be having a stall at the Northside Markets (Nundah) on Sundays (beginning 12th Oct). The stall will include collars, artwork, postcards and doggy christmas stockings.

Martingale Collars Now In Production

Due to numerous requests, I have started making martingale collars. Martingale collars (also called limited slip collars) are similar to a check chain, but are created from fabric instead. They are perfect for dogs with heads that are more narrow than their necks (such as sight hounds), and also for dogs who tend to 'back out' of regular flat collars.

In true LoveBird style, the martingale collars are covered with a variety of fabrics to ensure your dog's collar is both funky and functional. The collars are currently being tested by a variety of breeds to make sure they are up to scratch strength-wise (so far, so good). Martingale collars will be available to purchase within the next couple of weeks.
