Hello my names Louis Coombs and i'm in search of my family line,we have done a lot of research through the cenuses and have been able to find my way back the late 1700's but need to find more so here's what we have got so far...
William Coombs born 1790 bristol (brick maker) and married Elizabeth ? born abt 1792 they had seven children-
Thomas Coombs 1842 (Boot shop man) married charlotte born abt1842 bristol st pauls, they had eleven children- Charlotte 1861,Amelia 1863 (general servant),Thomas w coombs 1865,Henry Coombs 1867(Errand boy-Tailors cutter),Edwin Coombs 1870 (Tailors cutter) John coombs 1870,William G coombs 1875(railway carrier clerk) Albert fred coombs 1878 (post office boy) Alice R Coombs 1881,Emily Coombs 1883, Edith Coombs 1886 Bristol
George Coombs born 1826 who married Matilda coombs who left this earth and then married Isobella ? they had two children Ada coombs born 1849 and Annie 1851(House keeper) bristol.
Maria Coombs 1821 tailoress Amy Coombs 1821 Cotton maker,william Coombs 1826 (Labourer),mary coombs 1827, James E Coombs 1833 (brick maker) married louisa ? 1832 St.george Bristol, they had four children, Caroline Coombs 1859,William Coombs 1860 in the parish of St phillips and Jacob bristol,Frederick J Coombs 1856 (Labourer in a brickyard) married Mary J? born abt 1858, they had five children - Frederick H coombs 1878,William C coombs 1880,Florence Emily Coombs 1882, Harry Coombs 1883, and Jame E 1886 bristol. James E Coombs 1862 (masons labourer) married Emma ? (Boot machinist) born abt 1867, they had six children - Charlotte Coombs 1885, louisa 1886,George Coombs 1896, Emma 1898, Lilly 1900, and James Coombs 1890 (Boot finisher) who Married Beatrice Stone born abt 1893 who lived in the Two mile hill Kingswood area untill James died in 1960 and beatrice in 1963, they had two children that we know of Beatrice Alberta coombs who died very young and my father Roy Reginald James coombs 1916-1984 (musician,Band leader) died at king st kingswood Bristol who's partner was Margaret Coombs/Croll 1931-1990,Roy had I think three children from his previous marriage and three with Mum (Margaret)- Roy Reginald coombs 1966, James Andrew Coombs 1968, and myself Louis Coombs.
There is also a link somewhere to Harry Roy Dance band leader born lipman to my father Roy coombs, who also had Several bands and just Harry roy he was a fantastic musician, Dad said that Harry was a cusin or uncle and just like Harry our father (Roy Coombs) was a fantastic musician seen in the photo below middle Saxophonist, This link is very important to us and we really would love to see how Harry Roy fits into our family or not, so please if anyone could tell us any information that may link these two band leaders together then please feel free to send anything you have to any of these email addresses - louislutz@hotmail.com or louis_coombs2001@yahoo.co.uk

Harry Roy Born (Lipman) abt 1900 died in London 1971, who married Princess Elizabeth Brooke.
Here we have James coombs & Beatrice Stone/Coombs with Roy reginald James coombs taken in 1918-1919.
