The *Real* Journey Of The Fellowship Of The Ring

 By Elven Sparrow

PART 1:

"Yer late!" Frodo said to an old man in gray clothes with a gray hat and a gray beard . . . he was all gray . . ahem . .. and riding in a little horse drawn cart, neither of which were gray, they were both brown.
"A wizard is never late Frodo Baggins, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to." the wizard, Gandalf replied. They both started to laugh.
"It's wonderful ter see you, Gandalf!" Frodo cried as he jumped into the wizard's arms (arms as in his arms . . . not his weapons . . . if that was true the rest of the story would be . . . unfortunately Frodo's head was blown up by the machine gun in Gandalf?s pocket . . . THE END)
"You didn't think I'd miss your Uncle Bilbo's birthday?" Gandalf questioned.
"Ner' . . . never crossed me mind." Frodo answered.
"Good . . . because I almost didn't make it . . ."
"Why?" Frodo questioned.
"Because I didn't know what to get your uncle, for a present." Gandalf answered."Oh . . . so seeing as yer is here, what did you get him?" Frodo questioned.
"Why . . . I didn't get him anything." Gandalf said "I said to myself, I said 'Gandalf you best get yourself to Bilbo's party, you know its going to be one of special magnificence,' says I 'and you know he's not gonna care if you got him a present! Just being there is enough.' that's what I said and here I am. "
"It would have been better if yer never came here." Frodo shook his head.
"But why?" Gandalf questioned.
"Uncle Bilbo's been acting very very strange lately." Frodo explained shaking his head.
"What do you mean?" Gandalf demanded. "Speak! Boy!"
"Well yer see he has taken to locking himself in his study and then wondering why he can't get out." Frodo explained. "He demands presents at all hours of the day . . . and there is no party . . .he just wants people ter drop the presents off at Bag End."
"It's the ring!" Gandalf cried. "The ring must be destroyed."

"Huh?" Frodo shook his head in confusion. "Well . . . I will take the ring to Mordor!"
"Good idea Frodo! You shall take the ring to Mordor!" Gandalf exclaimed as he clapped the hobbit on the back.
"No wait!!! Did I say Mordor! I meant Wal-Mart . . .that's where Uncle Bilbo got it." Frodo said hastily.
"No, Frodo . . . the ring can only be destroyed in Mordor and you must take it there." Gandalf stated.
"But why me?" Frodo questioned.
"Because I said so! Your far to curious and eager for a hobbit! Most unnatural." Gandalf shook his head.
"I think that I should be curious about my own fate!" Frodo retorted.
"Oh, yes . . . forgive me dear hobbit." Gandalf said.
"All right, now what must I do?" Frodo nodded.
"I thought we discussed this already?" Gandalf sighed, "You are going to take the ring to Mordor and cast it into the fires of Mt. Doom."

"No, I mean . . . I know. . . what I meant was how am I supposed to get the ring from Bilbo?" Frodo explained.
"Oh, good question." Gandalf looked thoughtful for a moment, "Ah ha!" he then shouted. "I've got it. First we demand that Bilbo give us the ring . . . if he doesn't then we use the force."
"Sounds like a plan, but are you sure you know how ter use the force?" Frodo questioned.
"Of course I do." Gandalf sighed " Let's go!" he snapped the reins and the horse took off down the road. When they arrived at Bag End, Bilbo was standing outside his door waiting for them.
"Gandalf!" Bilbo cried as he ran to greet them.
"Bilbo," Gandalf started sternly, "Give me the ring."
"Okay." Bilbo answered and dropped the ring in Gandalf's outstretched hand. "Cherrio!" he said and strode past them down the path. "Good luck, throwing the ring into Mt. Doom." he said when he passed Frodo.
"Wait! Uncle Bilbo, where are you going?" Frodo asked. Gandalf answered first, "He's going to stay with the Elves." Bilbo nodded and with a wave started off again. Frodo watched him go.
"He always talked about leaving, I never thought he'd do it." Frodo looked to Gandalf for support, but the wizard was looking at him oddly, "Gandalf?" Frodo questioned, then he remembered the ring. Taking the wizard unawares he pried Gandalf's hand open and snatched the ring from him. Gandalf's expression changed from crazed to normal.
"Thank you, Frodo." he sighed. "Okay let's get going."
"Wait!" some one called, "We're coming too!" three hobbits ran up to Gandalf and Frodo. Merry, Sam and Pippin were their names. "You'll have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us!" Merry cried.
"Okay you all can come too . . . but mind you this is an adventure." Gandalf stated.
"A what?" Pippin questioned.
"An adventure, a quest, ya know stuff hobbits don't usually do." Sam explained.
"Oh, right . . . I knew that."Pippin smiled.
"Okay every one stop chitchatting and let's go!" Gandalf said as he urged the hobbits down the road. Once they got to a town called Bree Gandalf left them outside the gate, saying "I must see the head of my order . . . I only hope I am not too late."
"What does he mean his head is out of order?" Pippin questioned.
"He said 'I must see the head of my order'." Sam explained.
"Oh, your head's out of order to?" Pippin questioned, Sam shook his head.
"What are we supposed to do here?" Merry asked gazing up at the tall wall.
"I guess I'll knock and see if anyone answers." Frodo shrugged. He knocked on the door, it opened slowly. "Come on guys." Frodo said motioning for the others to follow him.
"Now what are we supposed to do?" Sam questioned. All around them were giants (men . . . and women) and they didn't know what to do.
"Hey! Look there!" Pippin pointed up the road, " 'The Prancing Pony' . . . what do you suppose that is? It says inn . .. you think it's anything like 'The Green Dragon' ?" Pippin questioned.
"I hope so," Sam sighed, "Cause I really need something to drink, a good ale would hit the spot just right, no mistake." Sam patted his large stomach.
"Well let's try it, since Gandalf didn't tell us what to do let's just sit around until a solution presents itself." Frodo said leading the way to the inn. When they opened the door to the inn the sound of many men singing greeted them.
"Well seems like a nice place." Sam said as he looked around.
"How can I help you little masters?" a tall man asked from behind the counter. "I have some nice hobbit sized rooms if yer interested."
"No thanks, we're on an adventure and we just were going to have an ale and wait for a solution to present itself." Frodo explained.
"Oh! All right make yer selves at home." the man said. Sam hurried and found a place in the bar where they could sit.
"That man," Sam said to Frodo,as he pointed in the corner. "Has done nothing but stare at you since we got here."
"Oh Sam, we just walked in and we are little hobbits," Frodo motioned with his hands how 'little' they were, "what do expect him to do?" Frodo laughed as he drank his ale.
"Now, he's coming over here." Sam whispered.
"Greetings . . . I . . . am . . . Strider .. . ." the man said slowly.
"I think he's had one too many ales." Pippin remarked.
"You speak English!” Strider cried.
"Ah-huh." Merry nodded in the direction of Pippin, though Strider thought he was talking to him.
"You don't speak like Hobbitneise?" Strider questioned.
"Nope, what's that?" Sam questioned.
"Nothing," Strider said with a wave of his hand, "I heard you were on an adventure and I thought maybe I could help." Strider said as he took a seat by Frodo.
"See guys! I knew a solution would present itself! Didn't I say a solution would-" Frodo cried.
"YES!" the other hobbits said. "Okay so do you need my help?" Strider questioned.
"Yes!" the four hobbits cried.
"Okay let's go." Strider said rising to his feet.
"But I am not done my ale!" Pippin cried.
"You can take it with you." Strider shrugged.
"Okay." Pippin agreed.
"You all go on ahead, I just need to speak to you-" Strider stopped
"Frodo." Frodo finished for Strider.
"Right Frodo, I just need to have a word with Frodo." Strider waited till all the other hobbits were gone before he spoke again. "I know what hunts you," he started
"Huh?" Frodo shook his head, "Now Mr. Strider, slow down, what are you talking about?"
"Shh! No time just listen to me. I know what hunts you. They are called Ringwraiths or the Nazgul. Neither living nor dead. They are drawn to that little Wal-Mart bought, China made ring you have in around your neck. They will never stop hunting you." Strider finished."Okay so, we have to get it to Mt. Doom and throw the ring into the fire." Frodo shrugged, "No change in my plans."
"Hey, you know, that's a good idea." Strider nodded. "Well lets go, I guess I'll take you all to Rivendel where Master Elrond is having a very important meeting about that little Wal-Mart bought, China made ring of yours."
"Okay, sounds good to me." Frodo nodded. Strider led them to Rivendel as he promised, but just as they were outside the gates he suggested that Frodo pretend to be hurt so that they could get past the guards quicker. "Elrond is taking every safety precaution to be sure that 'bad guys' don't get inside Rivendel." Strider explained. "If your hurt then I am sure we'll get in a little faster." Strider rang the doorbell.
"What?!" a elf poked his head out of a little window in the gate. "Oh, it's you." he sighed seeing Strider. "Well if you'll just give me a second to get all the paperwork in order . . . then I will be able to let you in.""Glorfindel, we are kind of in a rush . . . you see this hobbit, Frodo, well he is hurt, so-" Strider was interrupted by Glorfindel.
"Hobbit? Frodo? Hurt! Why didn't you say so! That’s a horse of a different color! Stand back and I'll open the gate." Glorfindel stated. They moved back and the gate slowly opened. Standing just beyond the gate was Gandalf.
"Hello," he greeted. "You all are late, the meeting has started." he said. "Come on- no not you three." he said when Sam, Pippin and Merry tried to follow Frodo and Strider. "well not with us, but if you go that way and down those steps you'll come to the back door of the meeting room, and well just hide behind that door and you can eavesdrop, Okay?" The hobbits nodded, "Good. All right let's move people!" Gandalf said to Strider and Frodo who were waiting for him. "Or don't you know the meaning of LATE???" When they entered the meeting room full of elves, dwarves and men, Gandalf gave the apology. "Sorry we're late." "No matter, Gandalf old friend." Elrond said with a wave of his hand. "Welcome, Frodo and Strider. Please have a seat. Ahem . . . so I suppose you would all like to know why you're here? Well it is because that little hobbit wears around his neck the fate of the word which we love, Middle Earth." Elrond said. "I've called you all here to discuss what we must do."
"I have an idea," Frodo started but was shushed by Gandalf.
"Bring forth the ring Frodo." Elrond demanded. Frodo got up and placed the ring on a small table in the middle of the council room. "We must destroy it. Gandalf what did the white wizard Saruman, say when you went to speak with him?" Elrond questioned.
"He has been taken over by the power of the ring." Gandalf shook his head. "His advice is of no use to us." "Ooooookay," Elrond sighed. "That means we'll have to think of a way to destroy the ring."
"What are we waiting for then?" Gimli, the dwarf asked as he jumped to his feet, "You elves love taking your time with everything but in case you forgot we all aren't immortal! We don't need to think, as it is obvious we need to destroy the ring!" Gimli took his ax out and brought it down hard on the ring. The head of his ax shattered but the ring was not even dented.
"Well that obviously didn't work." Elrond stated. "So it is safe to say the ring cannot be destroyed Gimli, son of Gloin, by any craft we here possess it must be . . ."
"It must be what?" a man called Boromir prompted.
"Well that is what we have to figure out isn't it?" Elrond replied.
"I don't see what it's done and why we have to destroy it." Boromir sighed, "But if it is the will of the council then Gondor will see it done." "If what is the will of the council?" a younger elf jumped to his feet, "Have you heard, Elrond has said nothing, by way of what we will be doing. He said we need to think."
"Havo dad (sit down), Legolas." Strider said gently.
"Think all you ever do is think!!! THINK THINK THINK!!! (is this Winnie the Pooh?)" Gimli cried. All the other elves jumped to their feet behind Legolas. "I'll be dead before the fate of the ring is decided by these elves!"
"SILENCE!!" Strider yelled above the fighting. "Frodo has something he would like to say. Go ahead Frodo."
"Well, I could take the ring to Mordor and cast it into the fires of Mt. Doom." Frodo said quietly.
"Why, that is the best idea I ever heard!!" Elrond cried. "So be it! You shall be the fellowship of the ring!"
"Who? Master Elrond, in order to be a fellowship doesn't there have to be more then one person?" Frodo questioned.
"I was getting to that part. I had to think of the proper people to go with you." Elrond retorted.
"Oh, okay."
"I'll go." Gandalf said.
"Me too." Strider said as he got up from his seat to stand behind Frodo.
"Very good, Aragorn, I knew you would come around." Elrond said to Strider.
"Aragorn? The Aragorn? Isildur's heir? Wow! Can I have your autograph?" Frodo cried. Aragorn (Strider) shot Elrond a glance.
"Maybe later, we are kinda preoccupied." he said to Frodo.
"Well if Mr. Aragorn is going so am I." Boromir stated.
"Me too." Legolas said.
"And me, someone needs to keep you moving." Gimli stated as he looked up at the tall elf.
"We need a few more people, any volunteers?" Elrond asked.
"Is there a chance you might die?" an man questioned.
"Yes, exciting isn't it?" Elrond replied.
"See ya!" the man said and ran out of the room, out the back door. He was going so fast that when he pushed the door open he knocked the three hobbits down who were standing behind it.
"Well you three will do." Elrond said as he motioned for the hobbits to come in. "Okay, are you happy now? You have a fellowship." Elrond said to Frodo. Everyone stood there uncertain of what to do next. "What are you waiting for? The meeting is over! Go throw that thing in to the fires of Mt. Doom!" Elrond cried. "Shoo! Go, the lot of you!!" So was it that they set off, with no map, no weapons, except Gimli's ax and Gandalf's staff, nothing besides that as far as means of survival went. Elrond realized this and sent Glorfindel on horse after the fellowship, with supplies.
"Hail fellowship!" he cried when he had caught up to them. "Lord Elrond sent you off ill prepared, and so now he sends me to give you supplies."
"Thank you very much!" Aragorn bowed to the elf as he unloaded his horse's bulging saddle bags.
"You're welcome." Glorfindel replied as he pulled out a hobbit sized sword. "Frodo, this is for you from your Uncle." "The Sting!" Frodo breathed as he attached the sword's sheath to his belt.
"These are for you three, Strider was supposed to give them to you a long time ago." Glorfindel tossed Sam, Merry and Pippin each a sword. "Aragorn, this sword is for you, Legolas this bow and quiver and knives are for you and last Boromir, these are for you." Glorfindel handed Boromir a shield a horn and a sword. "Okay, well. . . I will leave you all to your adventure, have fun!" Glorfindel swung himself up onto his horse and rode away.
"Okay, lets go." Gandalf said.
"Go where? Master Gandalf, there are two roads we might take." Legolas started. "One, the one I recommend, is that we go over this mountain. Two, the one I don't even know why I am suggesting, is we can go under the mountain. So . . . what'll it be?"
"Let the ring bearer decide, that would be you Frodo." Gandalf replied and turned to the hobbit waiting for his answer.
"Which one is quicker?" Frodo asked
"Over!" Legolas said the same time that Gimli said, "Under!"
"Well since they're both the same distance, I don't know what to choose so I shall let my very distantly related cousin, Pippin decide." Frodo shrugged, everyone's gaze turned to Pippin.
"Well, I say we go over it." Pippin stated.
"Okay then lets go!" Gandalf said again.
"Yes!" Legolas said under his breath.
They climbed up to the very top of the snow covered mountain, without much trouble, except that the hobbits (who didn't wear shoes) feet froze.
"Gandalf! My feet! I can't feel my feet!!!" Frodo cried.
"You'll live." Gandalf said with a wave of his hand. "Now if we don't get to Mordor then that is a different story. So hup-hup, what, what!"
"Ugh," Frodo mumbled under his breath, "I didn't know this would be hard!" Suddenly the wind began to pick up. "There is a foul voice on the air!" Legolas cried.
"Go clean out your ears boy, there's no 'voice' on the air!" Gimli scoffed.
"It's Saurman!" Gandalf cried. "We must go back, he is trying to bring down the mountain! We must go through the Mines of Moria!" Now Gimli started dancing around, saying "YES! Yes yes!" Legolas sulked. So the fellowship tumbled and rolled down the snowy hill, all that is except Legolas. He said that he preferred walking. Now once the fellowship came to the gates of Moria, they ran into a tiny problem, okay a pretty big problem, they couldn't find the gate. Mostly due to the fact that they didn't even have the moon's light to go by as it was hidden behind a cloud, and also because dwarves build their gates to be invisible.
"Count on dwarves to hide the door so good that even one of their own kind can't find it!"  Legolas hissed under his breath.
"Ah ha!" Gimli cried. Everyone turned to the dwarf, "Oops, false alarm." he smiled innocently.
"Gandalf!" Frodo cried a little later as the moon came out from behind a cloud. "Look! Here!" the hobbit was jumping around pointing to the wall. Gandalf came to his side.
"The little one has found it!" he cried. "Good work, Frodo!" Gandalf held his staff to the middle of the gate. "Mellon!" he cried and the gate flew open.
"Merry! Come here!" Pippin hissed. He was standing next to the wall, "Help me pull this perfect skipping stone out!" he urged.
"Pippin, that stone is part of the wall!" Merry replied.
"So? . . . C'mon! PLEEEEEEASE!! One little stone won't hurt!" Pippin pleaded.
"Well . . . okay." Merry sighed and began tugging on the stone with Pippin, suddenly it came loose. Merry watched the wall, half expecting it to crumble to the ground.
"What are you two doing? We must get to Mordor!" Gandalf scorned. "Come on!" "Gandalf! Hurry the gate is collapsing!" Legolas cried from within the mines. Gandalf grabbed Pippin and Merry by the collar and pulled them into the mine after him. As the gate crumbled, darkness filled the mine.
"We must face the long dark of Moria." Gandalf sighed and tapped his staff to the ground, a small beam of light illuminated from its end.
"I wonder why the gate just suddenly crumbled?" Sam whispered to Frodo. Pippin and Merry walked at the back of the line staying very quiet. They had managed to get through the mine and to the Bridge of Khazad-dum, without being noticed, but as if their luck had just run short; a large creature made seemingly out of fire, emerged. A balrog. "Run! It may have wings and not be able to fly, but that doesn’t mean it can’t run!!!" Gandalf cried, as he stood to face the creature, to the rest of the fellowship, who were just standing there mouths hanging open starring at the balrog.
"Good idea!" Pippin nodded. They all ran to a safe distance, and watched as Gandalf faced the firery thing alone.
"Brave, he is, no mistake." Sam muttered shaking his head in awe. Just then the balrog took a step towards Gandalf. The wizard held his ground. "You shall not pass!" he bellowed. The balrog kept advancing, the bridge crumbled under his weight, and he began to fall to his death. Gandalf turned wearily away from the beast, then there was a crack and the balrog's bullwhip wrapped around Gandalf's leg, pulling him down with him. "I will come back to you at the turn of the tide!" he called. "Oh good." Frodo sighed, "He's not dead."
"Lets go!" Aragorn urged, orcs had come to stand on the other side of the bridge and were firing arrows at the fellowship. They ran out of the dark place, the outside world light temporarily blinded them. Everyone stopped to rest. "Come on! Up! We must get to Lothorien, by tonight! Hurry!" Aragorn yelled. No one moved, "These hills will be swarming with orcs by nightfall! I don't know about you but I don't feel like fighting a bunch or orcs at night, in the dark." That statement seemed to get everyone moving.
"Finally." Legolas sighed. The tall ancient trees of Lothorien were a nice sight to the fellowship after the mines.
"Great, more elves." Gimli mumbled under his breath, then he turned to the hobbits. "Get ready to think again, Lothorien, is home to the queen of the elves, Galadriel. I heard she is very beautiful, well I guess we'll soon find out." "WAZZZZZZUPPP!!!" someone cried. The fellowship jumped. "Oh come on you guys, ah hahaahhaha, that was too easy!"
"Show your self scurvy knave!" Legolas cried, holding up his bow.
"Sounding a wee bit like a pirate, aren't we?" Aragorn whispered to the elf.
"Sorry, it was the only thing I could think of." Legolas shrugged.
"Well you heard the guy! Show yourself!" Boromir cried. A tall elf stepped from behind a tree.
"Haldir!" Legolas cried and ran to meet the elf.
"Come you guys, haaaahhaah . . . ahemph . . . . Galadriel is waiting." Haldir took them to the seat of Lady Galadriel. She rose to greet them, beside her Lord Celeborn rose too.
"Heeeelllooo, Frodo offffffffff theeeeee shiiiiiireeee! IIIII ammmm Laaaadddy Galadriel. Welllcomeeee." she said very slowly and mystically.
"Ahem . . . Lady, they do speak English." Aragorn stated. "Oh, you do, well welcome." Galadriel said with big smile on her face. "Well I will tell you all what you need to know seeing as your in a rush-yes Gimli no thinking, and yes all of you I can read your minds, anyway . . . moving on." Galadriel pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket. "Okay, first to Frodo, you must destroy the ring by-"
"I know throwing it into the fires of Mt. Doom." Frodo answered.
"Hmm . . . well that's close to what I was going to say, I guess you don't really have to jump in yourself, Sure that will work! Good thinking." Galadriel turned to Boromir. "You my dear are going to die. " "REALLY?! Will it be worthy of a song?" Boromir cried.
"Yeah I can have it written for you. Okay you two," she pointed to Pippin and Merry, "are going to be kidnapped by orcs, you my little fat hobbit are going with Frodo, and you three must go after those two," she indicated to Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas that they were to go after Pippin and Merry, "got it? Or do you want me to write it down for you?"
"Nay, Lady-" Aragorn started
"Sounding a wee bit like a horse, aren't we?" Legolas questioned. Aragorn rolled his eyes.
"As I was saying, no Lady we don't need you to write it down. Thank you we shall be leaving now."
"No! Wait I have gifts for you all, since I can read your minds I all ready know what you all want. She gave out the gifts, everyone got a new cloak, Merry and Pippin got daggers, Frodo got a light bulb thingy, Sam got elven rope, Legolas got a new bow( and it was not one for his hair), and Aragorn got a dagger also, and Gimli got three strands of Galadriel's hair. Galadriel also gave them three boats, "See you guys later! " she waved as they rowed off.
“How do you work this stupid thing?!” Legolas cried in exasperation, he was about throw the ore (the thing that was causing him so much trouble) into the water but Gimli grabbed it first.
“Give me that you young fool.” Gimli grumbled.
“Ha!! Haha! Me young!?” Legolas laughed. “Why I am older then your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-”
“I get the point!” Gimli rolled his eyes.
“Grandma.” Legolas finished. “Oh, and I am so not a fool!” “All right, your an idiot . . . doesn’t matter to me.” the dwarf shrugged.
“We are going to pull over up here.” Aragorn called from the front of the line of the boats. He indicated to the shore ahead.
“I think we should go on!” Legolas called back. “Shadow and doubt fill my mind.”
“We can’t go any further, there is a waterfall.” Aragorn replied.
“No one ever listens to me.” Legolas sulked.
“Idiot.” Gimli mumbled under his breath. They paddled their boats to the sandy shore.
“We shall make camp here tonight.” Aragorn announced. They spread their blankets out and Boromir offered to collect fire wood. Frodo followed quietly behind.
“You want it don’t you?” he said. Boromir jumped as he turned to the hobbit.
“I know not of what you speak, little one.” he sighed.
“I’ll give it to you, I’ll give you the ring.” Frodo held the ring just out of the man’s reach.
“Really?” Boromir said as he tried to snatch the ring. “I will not deny that my heart has greatly longed for this.” Boromir almost got the ring.
“NOT!!! HA HA!”Frodo chuckled.
“Why you little bug eyed pip-squeak!” Boromir cried as he lunged at Frodo.
“Is there a problem, gentlemen?” some one growled. The hobbit and the man looked up to find that a large orc was starring down at them. “Why don’t you just give me the ring, that would solve this little matter.” the orc smiled.
“Never!” Frodo spat and ran off.
“You shall die here foul beast.” Boromir said as he drew his sword. The orc made no signs of retaliation.
“Don’t move! Heaven knows I can’t hit a moving target.” Legolas cried coming up from behind the orc. He loaded an arrow in his bow and shot it. The orc ducked and the arrow hit Boromir, he died instantly. "Nooooo!” Legolas cried. “I said not to move!” The orc shrugged.
“Can’t we just talk this out like civilized beings?” he asked eyebrows raised.
“Well sure, I guess we could.” Legolas shrugged.
“Get me that ring elf boy!” the orc said as he grabbed the elf by the collar his grip loosened as his head was chopped off by Aragorn who came from out of seemingly nowhere. Gimli was standing behind him.
“Frodo and Sam managed to escape to the other shore and are on their way to Mordor. The orcs have taken the other little ones, I guess we have to go after them.” Aragorn said to the elf.
“Right, lets hunt some orc!” Legolas said enthusiastically.
“You took the words right out of my mouth!” Aragorn laughed. And they, a man, dwarf and an elf ran after the orcs, the hunt had begun.

 Part 2:

So it was that the three heroes, Legolas Aragorn and Gimli trudged along after the orcs. With Aragorn laying down on the ground, every now and then.At the sound of snoring Legolas and Gimli would pull him to his feet.

"WHAT?!?!" Aragron cried when they did this.

"You fell asleep man!" Legolas replied.

I was SOOOO not asleep!"Aragorn retorted. "I was just resting my eyes!" The Elf and Dwarf exchanged glances. "And the rock says that we must go...this way!" Aragron pointed ahead and ran off. Legolas and Gimli ran after him,The Elf lagging behind greatly.

"Come on Gimli!" Legolas urged. "Wait up!" Gimli stopped for a moment and then hurried off again leaving The Elf behind."I feel sooooooo hurt." Legolas mumbled to himself as he held back a waterfall of tears. "I am tired of running,my feet hurt and my hair is a mess!" He wailed to himself. Then he ran right into the back of Gimil with a firm thud. Legolas looked ahead. "Orcs,at least ten leagues ahead of us." He pointed.

"Those are not orcs!" Aragorn retorted, "They're men!" Aragorn ran ahead. "Riders of Rohan!" He shouted. The Calvary stopped and horses snorted at the sudden jerrking of their reins. "What news from the Mark?"

"Who is Mark?" Legolas questioned. Gimli rolled his eyes. The riders circled the three travelers.

"What bussiness does, an Elf,A Man and a Dwarf have in the riddermark? Speak quickly!" One of the horse man demanded.

"Actlly we have come to promote my crackers called Lembas:one small bit is enough to fill-" Legolas was saying until Argorn slapped a hand over his mouth.

"Give me you name, and I will give you mine." gimli piped up. Aragorn rolled his eyes. The horseman got down from his horse and strode over to Gimli.

"I would cut off your head  Dwark-I mean dwarf,if it stood but a little higher from the ground."

"He would die before your stroke fell.!" Legolas laughed. Gimli turned to the laughing Elf.

"Are you inmpling that I would die from mere fear?!!" He telled as he held up his ax threateningly.
