LotR Bios!!
Right now, I am very busy and cannot write bios, but I hope to have bios of both the cast and the characters! However, if there are any kind people out there who would like to write a bio or two and send them to me here I will post your bio with your name on it! Thank you, nice people!!
Character Bios
Legolas
Born in about The Third Age 89, to the Lord of Mirkwood Thranduil and an unknown mother, Legolas Greenleaf would at the age of 2,931 go on a perilous quest to destroy the Ring of Power with 8 companions. He is an elf. Legolas comes from the Elvish word Laegolas, which literally means "Green-leaves." Legolas was sent to Rivendell as a messenger to the Council of Elrond to inform everyone that the creature Gollum had escaped from the care of the Mirkwood Elves. He ended up vowing to go with Frodo and 7 other companions to destroy the One Ring. The Fellowship consisted of two men (Aragorn son of Arathorn, and Boromir of Gondor, son of Denethor), a Dwarf (Gimli, son of Gloin), a wizard (Gandalf Grayhame), and four hobbits ( Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck and Perigrn Took). Gimli and Legolas didn't get along well. The company passed through Caradhras, but had to turn back because of the blizzards. They instead went through the Mines of Moria, were they lost Gandalf. With Aragorn in charge now, they set out for the Woods of Lothlorien. There they met the Lady of Light, Galadriel. As they left Lothlorien, Galadriel gave Legolas a special bow and quiver full of arrows, because of Legolas's great skill in archery. When the Fellowship split up, and Boromir died, Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas(now good friends) set out to find Merry and Pippin, who were taken by the band of Uruk-hai that killed Boromir. They met the Riders of Rohan(the Rohirrim).They set out to the capital city of Rohan, Edoras after being reunited with Gandalf. In Rohan, Legolas took place in the victorious Battle of the Hornburg, in the Rohan fortress, Helm's Deep. There, Legolas and Gimli had a body count (42-41: Gimli.) Legolas and the others set out to Isengard, where they find Merry and Pippin. Gondor calls for help, and the Rohirrim answer. Legolas, Aragorn and Gilmi leave the Rohirrim, and travel to the Caves of the Dead to get an army. They get the army and win The Battle of Pellenor Fields and the final battle at the Black Gate of Mordor. Once the Ring is destroyed and Aragorn becomes King, Legolas and Gimli travel to Fangorn Forest and the Caves of Rohan. Legolas ends up ruling the woods of Ithilien until Aragorn dies. After Aragorn's death, Legolas is called to the Sea, builds a ship, and sails with Gimli to the Undying Lands, the last of the Fellowship. Because Legolas is an elf, he has keen hearing and sight.

Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom was born in Canterbury, Kent(England) on January 13th, 1977. When he was a kid and found out that the guy who played Superman was an actor, he decided to become one too. In 1993, he moved to London to go to Drama School. For two years, he went to National Youth Theatre before getting a scholarship to train with the British American Drama Academy. He made his first memorable appearance in a cameo of the movie Wilde. After Wilde, he spent 3 years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. At Guildhall, he was in plays like: "Twelfth Night", "Trojan Women," and "Seagull." The director of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Peter Jackson, then discovered Bloom. Bloom auditioned for the role of Faramir, Son of Denethor, but was turned down and was asked to read for Legolas of Mirkwood, who appeared in all three movies, instead of two. Two days before he graduated Guildhall, Bloom got the role of Legolas(Thank God!). He spent 18 months filming the trilogy in New Zealand. He spent the two months prior to the movie learning Elvish, fighting, archery, and horseback riding( bareback, while shooting an arrow). Bloom also appeared in Black Hawk Down, Ned Kelly, and Pirates of the Caribbean. He will appear in Troy, The Calcium Kid, Haven, and Pirates 2(yay!).
~Orlando's favorite color is yellow.
~He quit smoking in 2002, and now bites his nails.
~He has a tattoo of a sun on his torso, and the Elvish word for Nine on his forearm.
~Orlando is 5'11'' (180 cm) tall.
~During the filming of LotR, Viggo Mortension(Aragorn) called Orlando "Elf-boy."
~He has an older sister, Samantha(2yrs older).
~He used to have a dog named Maude, but he gave it away, due to his career. He now has a new one.
~Orlando is an "extreme sports junkie."
~He broke: both his legs, his toe, his nose, his back after falling from a 3 story building, broke a few ribs falling off a horse while filming LotR, his wrist, a finger, and has cracked his skull not once, not twice, but THREE times.
~As a kid, he was dyslexic. He now claims to be "mildy dyslexic."
~ His favorite foods are: Pasta, pizza, oatmeal, rice and vegetables and baked potatoes. His favorite vegetable is spinach.
~ Orlando's favorite actors are: Johnny Depp, Edward Norton, Paul Newman, and Daniel Day-Lewis.
