About Us
We have come along way since purchasing our first American Bulldog back in 2002, since then we have up to now produced 4 litters of consistent and healthy dogs, we have produced dogs with both working and conformation titles. When we bred our first litter back in mid 2000 we decided on our kennel name, and from there we have been building a good solid reputation for our dogs, never having had to honour our guarantee. We have offspring from our male Bear living in many other countires in Europe also. We believe that this is because Roy has been apprenticing as a Judge for the last few years steadily gaining good strong knowledge, and is now ('08) a Qualified NKC Show Judge.  Because we are hobbyist breeder's dedicated to the betterment of the American Bulldog breed, we are not involved in breeding dogs as a business as we both work. We do have the occasional litter but we only breed from health screened dogs and only if we believe that we will improve on the parents are able to keep back at least one pup and that they will be a credit to the breed.  

We are based in Livingston, which is between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Our time spent with the dogs is dedicated to working them in obedience, we believe that this is the key to success in all other areas wether it be show or work.  We, where possible enjoy attending most major show's in the UK and Europe, and to supporting any good cause for the American Bulldog in the UK (we occasionaly take in resuce ab's till permanent homes are found we also assist the SSBTR scottish staffordshire bullterrier rescue with home checks and on occasion a short term foster home).  We regularly sponser other shows or make donations to the raffles as well as attending most of them especially if we can not attend them in person just to show that we support their efforts.

 I have now completed my apprenticeship with the NKC to become an approved Judge for the breed, As my heart truely lies with protecting the American Bulldog as i know it.  By the time I complete my ABNA apprenticeship hopefully later this year I will have apprenticed under many judge's, British, American and European.  Some of those i have already apprenticed under are Mr Greg Souza(Souza AB's USA), Mr Don Matthews(Konfederate Kennels USA), Mr Chris Thompson(Bionics Kennels USA), Mr Michael Klien(Proudheroes Kennels Germany), Mr Torsten Sonn(Sunnybulls Kennels Germany) to name a few.

In the year of 2006, we set-up the Highlander American Bulldog Club, this is a recognised club sanctioned to hold conformation shows in Scotland and anywhere in the UK.  As a general rule we will try to hold a mimimum of 1 sanctioned event per year and help support anyone else holding an event in Scotland but this depends on alot of variables so please give us support where you can.  We are also working towards bringing working events to Scotland.  If you have any queries about Showing or Working Events please feel free to call or email us we will help where we can.
