Los Lonely Boys can also be heard on the Alejandro Escovedo Benefit CD "Por Vida: A Tribute to the Songs of Alejandro Escovedo", out now on Or Music. The CD is a collection of Alejandro's songs recorded by artists as Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Ian Hunter, Son Volt, and many more. Los Lonely Boys contributed their version of Alejandro's "Castanets". This page is dedicated to the awesomely talented trio otherwise known as Los Lonely Boys!! Take a look around, discover what is being heralded as WIllie Nelson's "favorite local band". And for good reason-I was able to see them perform here in Reno on 2/07/04 and I can tell you this much-I have never felt so much energy in a live show as I did that night! The Garage is a small club inside the Hilton; it was packed from wall to wall and actually spilled out into the casino floor! I must admit, I've never been a part of something so consuming, so powerful, and so intense. It might sound like I am exaggerating, but in all seriousness, I'm not. I feel as if my words cannot justify the music. All I can say is, if you can, go see them perform. I can guarantee you won't regret it!! |
