LORD OF THE RINGS INFORMATION

ARWEN | LEGOLAS | FARAMIR | GIMLI

::ARWEN UNDOMIEL::

turtle Arwen Undomiel was born in the year of 241, the Third Age. Arwen is the daughter of Elrond, the half-elf, ruler of Rivendell. She's also the grand-daughter to the Lady Galadriel of Lorien. Aragorn and Arwen first met when Aragorn was singing the part of the song of the Lay of Luthien. Arwen was walking in Rivendell and he called out to her saying, "Tinuviel, Tinuviel!" She turned and asked him why he called her so. He told her that he thought she was Luthien, of whom he was singing. They fell in love at Arwen chose to stay in Middle Earth rather than go to the Undying Lands.

::LEGOLAS GREENLEAF::

turtle Legolas Greenleaf is the prince of the Woodland Realm of Mirkwood. He is the son of King Thranduil. Legolas traveled south to Elrond's council at Rivendell to act as the envoy of the woodland elves. Legolas knows Aragorn and was well aware of his true identity before any of the others knew. Legolas also has a distrust for Dwarves, like many of his people, which started a strange relationship with Gimli, son of Gloin. They did become friends later on and after the end of Sauron went on to explore the Caverns of Helms Deep and the woods of the woodland elves in habit the great northern Fangorn's Wood.

::FARAMIR::

turtle Faramir was born to Denethor and Finduilas the year 2983. In the year 3018 Faramir saw the funeral boat of Boromir. Faramir was not quick to kill or quick to blame, he was a captian of good will. During the battle at Osgiliath, he was mortally wounded by a arrow and the Black breath. He was later healed by Aragorn. In the Houses of Healing he met Eowyn, daughter of Éomund and Théodwyn, and he fell in love with her. After the war of Sauron and Middle Earth, Aragorn made Faramir prince of Ithilian.

::GIMLI::

turtle Gimli, son of Gloin (Who was one of the dwarfs who went with Bilbo in the Hobbit) was a dwarf who served in the last Great War against Sauron. He, being born in 2879, in the Third age of this world, was an adventurous and daring dwarf who went to the Council of many meetings, as told in the Fellowship of the Ring. There he volunteered to help Frodo, the son-in-law of Bilbo, to destrow the Ring. He would later fight along side Frodo in one battle in Moria and fought four other important battles. His skill with the axe aloud him to fight many orcs at once and still be victorious; and anyone who knows anything about dwarfs, their love of gold and their stamina for long periods, will no doubt say that Gimli did that. The only difference was that he became a Friend of Elves and loved Galadriel more than all the jewels on the world. To do him justice I would also like to say that it was said that he went with Legolas to the undying lands by Galadriel, although that is not verifiable. Gimli will always be known for his courage, zeal, friend of elves, and warrior for what is right.
