MOTHER TO REST WITH LATE STAR[1]

Body of Mrs. Normand to Be Placed Beside That of Daughter Mabel

The body of Mrs. Mary Normand, whose death occurred yesterday at California Lutheran Hospital, will be placed in a crypt at the mausoleum at Cavalry Cemetery beside[2] the body of her daughter, Mabel Normand, famous motion-picture star, who died two years ago.

Mrs. Normand, who was 65 years of age and resided in the city with her daughter Gladis, had been ill several months with a bronchial affection.[3]  Although never on the stage, she was widely known in theatrical circles.  She was born in Rhode Island and lived in California twenty-five years[4].  Her husband preceded her in death by several years[5].  She leaves her daughter and one son, Claude Normand, who arrived in the city last evening, having been called to his mother’s bedside from the East.

The body is lying in state at the Cunningham & O’Connor mortuary, 1031 South Grand Avenue. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
