Painting-Longest
The following act as a guide to the specific considerations
and undertakings, in addition to the general requirements,
for any potential attempt on Longest painting. They
should be read and understood by all concerned
– organisers, participants and witnesses –
prior to the event.
RULES
The record is for the painting with the greatest length.
1. There is no limit to the number of artists involved. An individual artist is also acceptable.
2. The painting must be at least 1 meter (3.38ft) high.
3. The painting must be done on one continuous piece of canvas or paper (or similar material pre-approved by Guinness World Records) using brushes and oil- or water-based paint.
4. This record is NOT the same as longest mural or longest drawing.
5. The painting must be of a recognisable image with a continuous theme. Unrelated images will not be accepted.
6. The entire surface must be painted.
7. There is no time limit.
8. Measurements must be taken by two independent witnesses.
9. If the painting is to be framed, the frame must not be included in the measurements. Measurements should be made after any shrinkage of the material has taken place.
10. Upon completion the painting must be available for public inspection.
11. Abstracts or collages are not allowed, only realism or representation form of painting for visible seeing the objects or the subject of the title.
12. Collaborative teamwork’s is necessary to make the whole painting in fluid flow. Style and technique of the participants is free to express.

How to participate: (GUIDELINES) Pre-registration is required for all interested groups and individuals to be part of this historical event in the country. PARTICIPANTS should be at least TEN (10) years OLD AND ABOVE. FILIPINO OR FOREIGNER ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. PARTICIPANTS ARE CATEGORIZED ACCORDING TO THEIR AGES AND PROFESSIONAL STATUS. CATEGORY a(RED CODE) AGES 10 TO 13 CATEGORY B(YELLOW CODE) AGES 14 TO 16 CATEGORY C(GREEN CODE) AGES 17 TO 21 CATEGORY D(BLUE CODE) 22 ABOVE (AMATURE OR HOBBYIST) *CATEGORY E(ORANGE CODE) ALL AGES IN PROFESSIONAL ARTIST. *ONE-MAN ART EXHIBITS IN ANY VISUAL ARTS DISCIPLINES are CONSIDERED UNDER PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY E(ORANGE CODE) participants will pay a registration fee of php. 1,000.00 and receive a number assignment or meter locator, and color coded refering to their age and category level. PARTICIPANT MAY SOLICIT THEIR REGISTRATION FEE BY ACKNOWLEDGING THE NAME AND SIGNATURE OF THEIR SPONSOR ON THE BOTTOM PART OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION FORM. this must be made before filing up the form. LOCAL OR FOREIGN TOURIST MAY REGISTER THRU THEIR CONTACT TRAVELLING AGENT AUTHORIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM, QUEZON CITY. canvas will be divided according to the registered info of the participants. The canvas is divided ievery meter per participant. The participant may register more than a meter as they wish to use, however each meter is correspondent of amount per meter mentioned above.. each meter will is corresponding to the amount of php. 1,000.00 (US$ 17.00) and made / paid during registration. the canvas will be available for the participants to locate at noon time of April 21, 2006 for their pre-check up.
upon completion and payment of the registration fee, the participant will receive official meter locator / registration number listed on their registration form.
All participants must be on the venue / site an hour earlier for the better and proper execution of the painting. This must be followed stricTly.
Official timer will be RGMA Radio who will command the start and End of execution of works broadcast nationwide over campus radio.
artwork must be executed by filling up all canvas space with paint and collaborated with its neighboring participants. guinness official is strictly supervising details of the works. (please refer to the rules)
all participants must wear official i.d. cards..
A creation of OTSAA’s longest painting club will be held and declare all of its participants as the pioneer members.
participants will received official t-shirt and id upon completion of the attended workshop.
participants will received official painting material (except paint brush, pallette knife and mixing pad), miniral water, bucket of water for painting, sun-bysor, umbrella and complement meal stub.
participants will received certificate of participation and chance to receive medal and Prize for best portion on the longest painting on canvas according from their category.
participants may received additional gift product sampler courtesy of the sponsors.
participant’s name will be officially registered with unesco’s international decade for a culture of peace and non-violence for the children of the world and will receive a certificate.
e-book and coffee book compilation of the project will be given to each participant at 50% discount available at the otsaa merchandising and event management office.
all other merchandising materials during the event will be at 50% discount for registered participants, upon presentation of their registration receipt.
