is a developmental disability that affects a person's verbal and non-verbal communication, understanding of language, and socialization with peers. Other characteristics include: engagement in repetitive activities, resistance to environmental change, and unusual responses to sensory experiences. The range of severity can be from extremely mild to severe. Autism is a behavioral disorder, not an illness or disease. It typically appears by age three and is a lifelong condition. There is no known cure, although there are documented cases of symptoms being reduced and even some children losing their diagnosis alltogether. Although autism affects the functions of the brain, the specific cause is not known.

Meet Marley aka "MarleyBoy"
A spunky , bright and vibrant young boy with a touch of autism.. Marley is a 6 year old ham at the top of his kindergarden class who loves to learn and has many friends..His main hobbies are art and video games..He also enjoys playing with his little sister and cousin and of course his kitty cat Sassy Pants!
His favorite hero is LarryBoy from the stories of Veggie Tales, hence the name he adopted for himself MarleyBoy "I am that Hero"
Our Autism Products and any Donations made to the Marleyboy Fund will be for his college fund and any special needs to help this Great Hero along the way... .

A 2007 Centers for Disease Control report found that 1 in 150 children in America today have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASA estimates that 1.5 million Americans and their families are now affected. Autism is a national health crisis, costing the U.S. at least $35 billion annually. Autism spectrum disorders are complex and often difficult to understand for families and professionals alike. The National Autism Association is here to offer information and support to everyone affected by this rapidly growing disorder. There are numerous theories on the cause of autism including genetics, environmental exposures, and vaccinations. The National Autism Association will provide the most current research and information available, and will help to fund critical research needed to find the cause. There are many diverse treatments available in biomedical, educational, therapeutic, and dietary fields. The National Autism Association will provide information on each area of treatment and will offer support and networking to help you find the treatment your family needs. Many families touched by autism face tragedies of various kinds, and they are often magnified by the disability. With help from the autism community and beyond, the National Autism Association will provide needed assistance to as many families as possible. The National Autism Association strongly believes that there are effective treatments for autism spectrum disorders as well as a long awaited cure for the millions of families affected.
