Writing Tips

Hi everyone. My last page wasn't working out for some reason it wasn't posting the right pictures. So I decided to change the page to writing tips for fellow autograph seekers like myself. Now I am not saying my way is THE way to write letters but I can give some tips from how I write and everyone can try if they like and see if it will work for them.

1. The most important thing when writing a letter to a celebrity is make sure your hand writing is neat! If celebrities or who ever gets their fan mail can not read your letter, it will probably just be thrown away.

2. Be creative! Find a way to make your letter stand out from the others. Make your letter eye catching out.

3. Always be truthful and don't go over board with compliments. You don't want your letters sounding fake and having them be tossed aside because they think you are trying to suck up.

4. You don't have to go on and on on why you think so and so is great. For example if you are writing a letter to an author like Sophie Kinsella may just write something like, I loved your book Confessions Of A Shopaholic because I could really related to the main character Becky and the scenes of your book were so vivid I felt as if I were a part of the book.

5. Tell the celebrity a bit about yourself with out writing your life story.

6. Always be polite and don't come off as demanding when asking for an autograph.

7. Make sure your letter has all the correct spelling and grammar. (I know I sound like your old English teacher but it is true! Plus my grandma used to be one so it kinda rubbed of.)

8. Try not to make the letters too long since the celebrities get so many about one page is good.

9. Make sure to include your address.

10. Have fun while writing your letters! This is a fun hobby so make it all fun!

A lot of celebrities prefer it if you include a SASE with your letter and it's been known that people get their autographs back faster when a SASE is included.

SASE stands for Self Addressed Stamped Envelope which is an envelope the celebrities can use to send you an autograph in that already has your address and postage on it.

SAE is a Self Addressed Envelope that does not include the postage.
