The "Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe" has evolved throughout the past thirty (30) years and is considered to be the most experienced, respected and sought-after demonstration team within the state of Missouri.  The team was formally known as the "HuangSe' GeBei Xi'Tong's - Lion Dance and Demonstration Team" (1997-2004 A.D.).  Prior to that… it was know as the "Lohan Gung Fu Demo Team" (1994-1997 A.D.) and before that... it was simply known as the "Lo'Han Group" (1979-1994 A.D.).

One of the unique aspects of our team is that we are all students of the "Shaolin Lohan School of Kung Fu".  How is that unique you may ask?  Since we are a 'Northern Kung Fu School', we specialize in the Northern Lions.  We have the strength and leg speed that is necessary for 'bold' lion dances.  Due to this fact, our "Southern Lion Dances" are powerful, acrobatic and extremely pleasurable to watch.  Since our system tends to do a great deal of reaching with normal techniques, we are more capable to reach-out further with the lions.  Due to this fact, we are also able to perform the extremely rare and historical "Green-Faced Lion".  We are also the only Troupe, in the area, capable of performing the fantastic "Dragon Dance" properly.  We have the largest inventory of Lions in the state and the people capable of using them.  Therefore, it is without question that the "Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe" is the most diverse, exciting and professional "Lion Dance Troupe" in Missouri!

How often do you hire a team expecting more than you get?  It is likely more often than you would like.  The "Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe” always expects more from themselves than most people could even contemplate.  We treat every performance like the last one that we will ever do!  We ensure that everyone is more than satisfied with our performances.  Our intention is to entertain, excite and to educate all those witnessing our performances with the beautiful and unique culture of the Chinese people.

The "Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe” is skilled with various types of Lion Dances.  Each ‘Lion Dance’ will tell a different story.  From what we understand... to date we are the only Team that uniquely blends the Traditional Northern Lion and Taiwanese Lion in a mock battle dance.  It is a very intriguing performance to watch.

Unlike most other “Lion Dance Troupes” in the area, we have many different lions!  In fact we have a great deal to choose from.  More than any other team within the Midwest!  Each lion has its own unique name, dance and personality.  We are skilled in the performance of "Dragon Dances" and "Southern Lion Dances" with bold Drums, Cymbals and Gongs!  Our Weapon Demonstrations are fast, exciting and extremely pleasurable to watch.  While you are holding your breath… you can almost feel the danger!
