With this handy tool you can split your log into four pieces with one cycle of splitter instead of usual three cycles. 

 I would recommend a 5 hp or greater motor on your splitter ,This 4 way wedge is best suited for logs that are easy to split ,straight grained and is really good for making fast kindling if you run into crotch wood or burly tough to split logs simply slip off 4 way wedge and have at it with your single wedge. 
We have been using these 4 way wedges for some time now and they really work well and have had no problems.

Just wanted to get back to you to tell you how pleased My Father-in Law and
I are with the 4 way wedge you built for us. I have to admit, I was a bit
skeptical but my desire to save some time and effort got the better of me,
so I ordered it up. All B.S. aside, the thing really works well, just as
promised. We have a 20 year old home made woodsplitter, and look what we got
done in a few hours! Definitely worth the few dollars.Slips right off for
the smaller pieces we like to crib the ends of our stack with, and right
back on for the bigger ones. Slick.
