Log Mountain Kennels started in the mid 1980s as I grew up and hunted Ruffed Grouse in the mountains of Southeast Kentucky with my father. Our dog of choice was the Brittany. Our dogs were first our hunting dogs but my mother and sisters felt they were first the family pet. The Brittany was the perfect dog for this "dual' role. Grouse hunting has always been an integral part of growing up in the Kelemen family and developing our line of dogs is always a major topic of conversation. Our Brittanys come from proven Southeast KY grouse stock with notable field trial dogs bred in to bolster our line.
