Hi everyone! Thank you for stopping by. If you are viewing this you are probably from the WW message boards. I have found all of your pages to be very inspiring and decided to try one out for myself. Here's a little more about me....
I am 27 years old and have been heavy all my life. The turning point for me was on my 21st birthday. I had visited the DR and came home in tears as she put me down because of my weight and said the only thing that would work for me at this point would be to have gastric bypass surgery. I did look into it, but I was not ready to drastically change my body for life with this easy out procedure. I was able to find the will and strength within myself to do this and so I started on my journey.
In November of 2000, I was 352.6 pounds. (May have been heavier, but that was the highest recorded at the DR's office). I changed my eating habits and started working out a few times a week. I joined WW with my mom the end of January 2001. I weighed in at 327 pounds. It was a struggle, but again, with the motivation of my family and friends, I lost 107.2 pounds by October 2001. I was feeling great! I decided to end a relationship with the guy I had been with since I was 15. We were more brother & sister than boyfriend/girlfriend and I knew it just wasn't meant to be. That was really hard, but I picked myself up and decided to enter the world of dating.
I met a few nice people, but no one I really was crazy about. That all ended on a lonely 2002 New Year's Day night. I was online and received an instant message from Ian. He had seen my profile and wanted to say hello. We talked for over 3 hours and ended up meeting the next day to see the movie, Vanilla Sky. We became the best of friends and fell in love. We dated for a while and became engaged November 29, 2003 (the day before my 23rd birthday). We started planning our wedding and set the date for November 12, 2005.
During our relationship, we went out to eat a lot and I gained almost 30 pounds back. We both decided to go back on WW to make ourselves healthier and become a skinny bride & groom. We joined in January 2005. I went from 267 to 216 pounds by June. Very unexpectedly, we learned we were pregnant on June 16, 2005. I was a little disappointed as this meant I had to focus on being healthy and taking care of the new little life inside me when part of me just wanted to continue on my losing streak. We went ahead and had the time of our lives. I was 6 months pregnant when we got married and still fit into my wedding dress! People couldn't even tell I was pregnant as I didn't show until we returned from our honeymoon. We went to the Dominican Republic for a week and it was sooooo amazing!
Logan was born on February 28, 2006. He was 11 days late and mom & dad were sure ready to meet him. He is now 11 months old and we are enjoying every minute of him. He is truly a gift from God. We both started WW again =) for the last time on December 19, 2006. I started at 251.4 (highest preg weight was 271!) and am down 74.2 pounds. It's been a struggle for Ian and me as before the weight was just flying off...but we are determined to do this. Ian is down 78.2 pounds and I am so proud of him. Keep checking our pictures for updates!

I hit ONEDERLAND! Who-hooo! I'm so excited I could scream...Ok so I did already!! Haha...I haven't had a "1" in front of my weight since the 4th or 5th grade! This is such an exciting time for me. I'm so motivated this time. Only 61.4 pounds away from my goal.
****Update 01/12/2008****
Well - we finally rejoined WW after a 10 week break. We took a break more for financial and time reasons. I finally made the decision to go back to work full time (I had only worked part time since having Logan in Feb of 2006). All that really matters is that WE'RE BACK! =) ...... I do have to say - I am pretty darn proud of myself! In 10 weeks, through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years (several holiday parties to boot!) - I weighed in today at .2 higher than my last weigh in!!!!! That's right POINT TWO! - Even the receptionist that weighed me in said WOW! This just goes to show I can do this for the long haul and that I won't ever go back to being the person I used to be almost 7 years ago. All I can say is GO ME! - Look out world....I'm back and in a few months time will be an even smaller, sexier, Momma! =)
****Update 01/19/2008****
My first weigh in after rejoining last week and I'm down 4.4!! I've officially lost more than I weigh!!! Go me!
Thank you for stopping by...don't give up...tomorrow is a new day!
