Introduction

This skill guide will teach you the basic of Melee combat, and the advanced. Read this carefully and you should know about everything about Melee combat in a matter of minutes!

Melee is combat, using weapons that are used hand to hand, this is the most commonly used combat type in the game. You can train mainly 4 skills in Melee combat: Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints. If you look at the picture below, this is the combat interface.

With the "chop" style, you will train attack. With the "slash" style, you will train strength. Now, the lunge attack is an attack type only some weapons have. It will share the exp, which makes it train all 3 of attack, strength, and defence. If you are training: Attack, strength, or defence by itself, each hit, like in the picture above, will gain you 4 exp. So, as I have hit a "7" I will gain  28 exp in the strength style as I was on the attack style "Slash." So basically per hit you have on the lunge style gives you 1.333* exp per hit. Also, you may have noticed I have something called "auto retaliate" on. This basically means that if someone attacks me, I will attack them back immediately. If you don't you will have to click on them.

Armor and Weapons

Weapons are used to attack your enemy, (you can attack with your fists though.) And armor is used to defend from your opponents attacks. Both require higher levels for more advanced weapons. It goes like follows:

Include pictures+ imformation on Metal weapons categories-Halberds, daggers, swords, longswords, war hammers, batteaxes, scimtars, and such.  Explain the strengths and weaknesses of each type.

For example-

[Picture] Daggers

Daggers are the fastest type of metal weapon, however this also makes them the weakest. They're mainly used as stabbing weapons, which makes them a much better choice when fighting rangers and green dragons. However, they have such low attack bonuses as compared to other weapons that it would hardly make much of a difference anyway. Daggers also can be poisoned, which makes them at least somewhat useful. Combined with a dragon dagger's special attack, this poisoning effect can be absolutely devastating, making this poisoned dragon dagger the weapon of choice for pures and other player killers.
