Tamagotchi were generally made around sometime in 1996-1997. The word ''Tamgotch'' is a Japanese word for Egg.
This is a Prototype. The word ''Proto'' means first. (stems). I think they weren't released to buy.
These are the first tamagotchi's. Also know as gen 1.
As you know Gen 2.
This is a Tamagotchi Plus, it was sold in Japan. It's similar to the USA Tamagotchi Version 1.
The Europe version is called Tamagotchi Connexion.
- Notice that dark red thing at the top.
- It is a infra-red communcation thing
- Put 2 of them to together and you can connect.
- You can have babies.
- And start more generations!
