JOB SEARCH
DO WE HAVE AN UPDATED RESUME FOR YOU? - We have rumors of a few movies for early 2008 (just check the "Upcoming Projects" page), so please
make sure that we have a current resume for you on file. If
possible, we prefer that you e-mail this to us at
iatse492@yahoo.com. This allows us to download your resume
directly into our software without retyping it. If this is
not possible, you may fax it to us at 615-460-7492. CALL IN YOUR WORK - We would like to stress to all members the importance of calling in your work. This information is logged in the office and kept for future reference. You may call in your work by phoning the office - if no one is there, simply leave a message on the voice mail, or you may e-mail the information to us at iatse492@yahoo.com or by using the anonymous form. Simply telling a friend that you are working or even telling one of the officers that you see on the set is NOT calling in your work. You must let the office manager know so that she may enter it in the appropriate log.

INSURANCE & BENEFITS
CHANGES TO HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN - Several changes have been made to the C-1, C-2, and CAPP reimbursement programs, and the new C-3 program has been established. These changes will take effect 1-1-08. Click here for more details. INSURANCE PREMIUM COPAYS - You can now use your credit card to make Plan C health and welfare co-payments online. No more having to overnight payments! Visit the IATSE National Benefits website for more details. EDUCATION & SAFETY SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAM - Local 492, with the help of Columbia State, has implemented a new safety training. All members will be required to attend the program, and trainers will be your own brothers and sisters! If you are interested in becoming a trainer for the program, please let the office know asap as we hope to have this fully up and running by the end of the year. Watch your mailbox for more information on becoming a trainer as well as the program itself. |

BLUE BOOK UPDATES - are being mailed with your 2009 membership card. If you have lost your book or would like to have an additional copy, they may be purchased from the office as follows: |

LOCAL 492 STUFF
GOLF/POLO SHIRTS - Local 492 has golf shirts available. The price for each shirt is $30, which includes a nominal mark-up to accommodate a discretionary fund which will serve to replenish supply. We hope to be able to offer additional items (long sleeve denim shirts, hooded sweat shirts, jean jackets, ball caps, etc) at a later date. To view the actual shirts for sale, click here. Or, for a close-up, click here. Shirts can be picked up from the office or purchased at one of the membership meetings. Shirts can be shipped for an additional charge as follows: T-SHIRTS - We still have additional t-shirts for several of the recent movies. The cost is $10 each (pick up) or $13 each (mailed). First come, first serve basis. You can also purchase t-shirts with no movie logo on the front and just the 492 logo on the back.
