L is a infamous detective, who's face, real name, and just about everything about him is unknown. He is currently trying to find out who Kira is, but deeply suspects Raito. He works very hard to find Kira, to right him from all the "wrongs" he is doing, which is killing all the criminals that appear on TV. He is extremely smart [sosososo smart! x3], though you can't tell by first glances because of his wild and untamed look.

The first few chapters of Death Note, you only see that bottom half of his face, which gives you the feeling that he is around the mid 20s, very dashing and stuff, but later you see his whole face and you're like "whOoOoooa...didn't expect that o_0" i bet NOone guessed his real look right until after they saw him, lol!

L's way of sitting is very...you can say unique, but more strange xD He sits as if he's crouching with knees pulled to his chin, whether it be in restaraunts, classrooms, on sofas, or chairs. He was even once spotted by an F.B.I. agent sleeping while sitting like that in a chair xD LOL! Another thing you can spot him doing alot is chewing on the tip of his thumb. xD he rarely sleeps, you can tell by the massive bags under his eyes [which is the best trademark of him! *heart*]
