That's right, I said Oprah. Here is what I heard on Oprah last week that made me go, Oh. So, that's how that goes.
I can't prove this definitively but I do believe that I am the only person in the blog world who has never posted a recipe. So on this, the eve of Peasch, I offer you my recipe for Lindy's Famous Haroset. It's the only Passover dish I know how to make.Ingredients:
God Is Good.I’ve seen and heard this statement a couple of times in the last week or two. And I agree with it. God IS Good. I think it even says so in the Bible. Probably that's in there. What disturbs me about such an assertion is that every time I hear it, it is being uttered in response to God allegedly doing something that the speaker has wanted God to do. It’s as if there is a therefore in there. The judge ruled the way I wanted therefore God is good. I got my tax refund therefore God is good. I’m engaged to be married therefore God is good. See what I mean?Look, God is good all the time. When you don’t get your way, God is good. When things go badly, even very badly, God is good. When the whole world sucks, God is still good.I don’t want to be caught passing my own judgment that God is good unless I am sure that I will say it every day, no matter what, even when stuff sucks.Just saying.
