Two Fruits in the Sukka

Deep thoughts from deep in the sukka

Just so everyone knows, all dates on the Haiku Blog are approximate.  Sometimes I do not really know exactly which day it is and, just to be honest about it, I don't really care too much either.  I will say, though, that they are pretty close.

Haiku About Tammy Faye Bakker Messer

Tammy Faye of God,
Apostle to the gay world.
Camp evangelist.

Tammy Faye of God,
You knew Jesus loved  us too.
Everyone, in fact.
Tammy, thou of heavy eyes
Rest in peace now that you’re through.

Haiku About Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O'Donnell
She's a big fat dyke like me.
But not as pretty
As Elizabeth Ache Bee
That's why people don't like her.

Walking Tall Haiku

Skinny neck, wide ass,
Pear shaped bird on wobbly webs,

Patting down the ground,
Walking tall in the tall grass.
Unlikely ballerina.

Another Kayaking Haiku

My boat, my body,
As if one we ford all streams,
To old Gruen bridge bound.
Time stands still, or so it seems.
Listen.  Hear the silent sound!

Haiku About The Dead Turtle

The turtle is dead,
Bearing sin on its body.
Human violence.
Gashes in God's perfection,
Done all to angel's chagrin.

Two Kayaking Haiku

First One:

Kayaking with Bob.
A boat, a dog, and a friend,
Pain is on the mend.

The Other One:

My boat is present.
Neither future, nor the past.
Water, God, it's all so vast.

The Haiku Of My Brilliant Cousin

I feel like such an IDIOT…
I woke up in the middle of the night and realized how FREAKING clever my cousin Amy is!
She’s such a subtle little genius that I just about missed it.

In writing to request more haiku, Cousin Amy (who is my real cousin) wrote a reverse haiku.  Instead of being 5-7-5, it is 7-5-7.  Very, very, clever.  I didn’t even see it until the dream world revealed it!

Here it is:
Or, should I say lookie here:

i click on haiku in hope
is there a new one?
but she has not posted yet

It is not very often that I get one put over on me like this.  Go Amy!

Now… If I can get back to sleep.

The Happy Haiku

What makes happy Haiku?
Bunnies, frogs, and trees?
What does happy mean?
Conscience clear, mind unaware;
I dare not see complicity.
