Welcome to the website of Llanhilleth Athletic. We are a small village team situated between Abertillery and Newbridge, we believe in giving young local players the opportunity to play football at a good standard. this can be seen by looking at our current squad of whom nearly all are from Llan and the surrounding area. We currently have two senior sides playing in the Gwent County second division, and North Gwent reserve league. There is also a junior setup with JFR Llanhilleth starting from under 9's up to under 18's.
After finishing third in division two last season the club will again be looking for promotion to division 1 of the Gwent County for the first time in our history. All of our teams at all age levels are looking for players to join the club. Training takes place on Tuesdays at Llanhilleth Park astroturf 6.30 till 7.30, if interested contact Chris Townsend see the Contacts page.

Llanhilleth entered a team in to the first ever cancer research five a-side at the power league in Whitchurch. The squad consisted of Michael Hurn in goals and outfield players of Chi Yau, Phillip Blackmore, Richie Crees, Dan Nicholls, Jonathan Dalton and Shane jones. After a strong start win
ning our first two games comfortably, we lost heavily in our third pool game to finish second in the table. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise and we went on to dominate the rest of the tournmaent scoring alot of goals and conceding very few to run out comfortable winners of the tournament and book our place at ninnian park in may. Well done to everyone involved as the main cause of the day was to raise money for a great charity.
