gary beward racing team

race recap

The nights' racing program started and gary was 10th fastest in warm-ups. In the heat race, the #19 was on a rail and was pulling away from Tony Adams (88), and the points leader Jeff Rine (2J). While leading, the tire came off the bead of the #19 causing him to drop out of the race. The crew got the car ready for the main event where Gary would start 19th out of 19 cars.

Third-place starter Brett Schadel (0) powered into the lead at the start of the late model feature. Schadel held off fourth-place starter Tony Adams (88) for the first five laps. On the sixth circuit, Adams took the lead with an outside pass in turn two. For the next several laps, Schadel dueled with 10th-place starter Jeff Rine (2J), who secured the runner up spot on the 10th circuit. For the duration of the race, Rine chased Adams in traffic, while sixth-place starter Jeff Smith (99) raced in third. At the finish, Adams was victorious by 1.1 seconds over Rine, Smith, Schadel, and Bobby Croop (98). Gary Beward had a strong running coming through the field to the sixth spot until the 3 laps to go he fell to the 8th position with kyle rhoads (90) a very distant 9th.
