Welcome to Liz's Sugar Run Minis
Dollys Acre

Our little hobby of pygmy and nigerian dwarf cross goats began in 2000 with my first doe, Bootsie and as I had been raised around the bigger dairy breeds I knew I wanted the "mini" goats from the start and I wished to be able to milk my does for the delicious wholesome milk that goats provide. I added my second doe, a full blood un registered pygmy I named Dolly in spring of 2001 and a nigi/pygmy buck in the summer of 2001. At that time , my hobby became something for all to enjoy as the first babies born were arriving in spring of 2002.
My herd name is in the memory of Dolly, sadly after trying to give me another year of milk as well as twin does, she crossed The Rainbow Bridge just 6 years after she came to me, she will live on in the names of any Registered Nigerian Dwarf kids born here.
We are located just 9 miles from Shelocta, PA and 8 miles from Apollo in a teeny little town called Girty....very rural with tons of backroads and numerous ways to get to my little hillside. As my herd has increased so has the milk, these little does have really out done themselves in the years that they have freshened and so has my creativity in using it.
