Motor fitted. |
Hi i'm back happy new year for 2006 and so on. Due to GCSEs Livvy has had to take a back burner in my life, and energy in my hobby has been centred on my 5" loco, which now is a regular at Staines MES. But I have now bolted a motor on and have located parts for the drive, once I get the parts it will take about 2 hours to get it all running! However getting the parts is hard and so this has stopped all progress to date. See the pic for the new motor. Getting the motor fitted was a horrible experiance, I have put no clearence into the mounts so that when you do the bolts up it is difficult, possible but difficult! It is so far the only bit of real engineering I have done on this machine and it only gets easier after this! |

this is the new motor as fitted, note the use of angle as brackets fastened to the shelving supports, when fully assembled a massive jubilee clip (or string!!) will firmly hold the other end. |
